When God Walks With Me
In the silence of my restless night,
When dreams feel distant, out of sight,
I whisper prayers with trembling voice,
And wait for Him to make the choice.
The world may say, “You’re all alone,”
But deep inside, my heart has known,
A gentle presence, calm and bright,
That turns my darkness into light.
When roads are rough and storms appear,
A quiet voice says, “Do not fear,”
“I walk with you through every flame,
You call My heart, I know your name.”
I fall, I break, I lose my way,
Yet still His mercy finds me each day,
Not in power, not in might,
But in His love, so pure, so right.
So I will rise, though weak I seem,
With faith that flows like endless stream,
For hand in hand, come loss or gain,
With God, my steps are not in vain.
