Leaning how to begin a beginning in the quiet of endings.
Lately, everything feels like it is coming to an end. Not loudly, not all at once, just quietly slipping away. I held on longer than I should have, hoping time would soften what hurt. Instead, I learned that endings rarely come with closure, and healing does not follow a straight path.
Some days melancholy returns without warning. I have learned to carry it without showing it, to be strong in ways no one notices. I did not lose everything, but I lost enough to feel different, enough to realize I am no longer the person I once was.
I am tired of explaining my emotions. Perhaps this too is part of healing. Not everything needs to be understood. Sometimes healing is simply the quiet choice to keep going.
Letting go is not the same as moving on;
It is learning how to live with the memory without being trapped by it.
It is accepting that some things remain a part of us, not as wounds, but as reminders of what we have survived.
