News:
Problem of drinking water pollution in Mansa (Gandhinagar, Gujarat).
**
Suggestions:
Better to have water filter, we have been using a water filter from 2007, just after my retirement; since we then went out of NAL (Bangalore) campus to stay.
**
In Vadodara in my house for drinking water, a cloth filter is first used, then pieces of phatakadi are put in the earthen pot, and we use this water for cooking, and for drinking water we buy filtered water jugs from outside.
**
In Mansa also we used to buy the cans of filtered water for cooking and drinking.
**
Mainly because we used stay in these places only for the maximum period of three weeks.

Nowadays, the responsibility of pure drinking water is only with the citizens.
Any government or its service providers (like municipalities) are more interested in earning the fame;
This I have seen in Mansa, Vadodara and Bangalore too.
Irrespective of a religion, a political party, or a social order one follows, I see a lot of hollowness in the minds of certain people (of course not all people are like this) who work for such organisations;
In the depth of their hearts, there is no empathy, their good mannerisms are just superficial.
