I had had often said to my colleagues and students whom I was guiding, to take atleast calculated risk in their research and doctoral studies; the chances of failures are minimal; and most (or even all) of them did venture into such tasks with zeal and perseverance, and got major successes, and except for occasional small dips here and there without any major effects on their careers (and health); they all came out to be very very successful; most reached the levels of vice presidents of some companies, associate and deputy directors, chief scientists, heads of divisions, professors, dean of faculty in reputed university, and so on in their chosen fields of pursuits.
