જીવનનો સૌથી રહસ્યમય અધ્યાય છે મૃત્યુ…
એવો મહેમાન,
જે આવતાં પહેલાં કોઈ સંદેશો મોકલતો નથી,
દરવાજો ખખડાવતો નથી,
અને જતા પહેલાં અલવિદા પણ નથી કહેતો.
એક પળમાં આવે છે
અને જીવતી કહાનીને શાંત યાદોમાં ફેરવી દે છે.
એટલા માટે જીવનની સૌથી મોટી સમજ એ નથી
કે કાલ પાછળ ભાગતા રહો…
પણ આજને હૃદયથી જીવો.
કારણ કે ફૂલ સદાય ખીલતા નથી,
સૂર્યાસ્ત સદાય અટકતો નથી,
અને મીઠું હાસ્ય પણ
એક દિવસ માત્ર ગુંજ બની જાય છે.
એટલે આ પળને જીવો—
જેમ વરસાદ સુકી ધરતીને સ્પર્શે,
જેમ પંખી ખુલ્લા આકાશમાં નિર્ભય ઉડે,
જેમ બાળક કાલની ચિંતા વગર હસે.
કારણ કે આજે જે પળને અવગણશો,
એ જ કાલે યાદ બની તડપાવશે.
ખુલ્લા દિલથી જીવો,
મુક્તપણે પ્રેમ કરો,
પૂરેપૂરું હસો…
એ પહેલાં કે સમય તમારી હાજરીને
કોઈની યાદોમાં ફેરવી દે.
