🌸 The Last Letter- Part 4
Part 4 – The Identity Revealed
Aisha’s heart was pounding as she sat in her room, the envelopes stacked neatly on her desk. Each one seemed heavier than the last, filled with warnings, secrets, and mysteries she couldn’t yet understand. The events of the past few weeks had left her on edge, her mind constantly racing. And now, the abandoned building, the shadowy figure, and Armaan’s half-revealed knowledge had made everything even more confusing.
She opened her diary and reread the first few letters. Each warning had come true in one way or another. Every detail, every prediction, had been accurate. That meant one thing: the person behind these letters knew her life, her routines, and even her deepest thoughts. But who could it be?
---
The next day, she arrived at college early, hoping to find Armaan. As she walked into the library, she saw him sitting at a corner table, staring at a notebook intently. When he saw her, he gestured for her to come over.
“I think it’s time you know something,” he said quietly. His voice was low, urgent. “I’ve been trying to protect you without scaring you too much. But the truth is… someone very close to you is behind the letters.”
Aisha froze. Her stomach twisted. Someone close to me? Her mind immediately went to Nisha, but deep down, she felt the danger could be coming from someone else entirely.
---
“Who is it?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
Armaan shook his head. “I can’t say yet. You need to see for yourself. Tonight, meet me at the same abandoned building we went to before. I promise, it’s safe—at least as safe as it can be. But you must trust me completely.”
Aisha hesitated. Her instincts screamed caution, yet her heart pulled her forward. She nodded slowly.
---
That evening, as the sun dipped behind the horizon, she made her way to the building. The streets were empty, the shadows long and eerie. When she arrived, Armaan was already there, holding a flashlight.
“Stay close,” he whispered. “We don’t know who or what is watching.”
Inside, the building was dark and silent. The only sound was their footsteps echoing against the cracked walls. Suddenly, a small drawer fell open by itself, revealing a stack of letters—letters she hadn’t seen before.
“These,” Armaan said, picking them up carefully, “are older letters. They were meant for someone else long before you. I think the person sending them has been doing this for a long time… and now it’s your turn.”
Aisha shivered. Long before her? How could someone plan this so carefully? How could they know her so well?
---
As they explored further, they found a small room at the end of the corridor. Inside, a figure turned around. Aisha gasped. It was someone she knew—someone she never suspected.
“You…” she whispered.
The figure smiled faintly. “Yes, Aisha. It had to be me. You’re stronger than I thought, but the letters… they were necessary.”
Aisha’s mind spun. Why? Why had this person sent the letters, predicted her life, and controlled her actions? The mixture of betrayal and relief made her dizzy.
Armaan stepped forward, placing a protective hand on her shoulder. “We need to talk to them carefully. This isn’t over yet. There are truths you’re not ready for, and choices you will have to make soon.”
Aisha felt her chest tighten. Danger wasn’t just outside anymore—it was here, inside the building, in the same room with her. Her instincts screamed, but a part of her wanted answers, no matter how painful they might be.
---
Later that night, she returned home with a letter slipped into her bag—one she hadn’t noticed before:
“The time for trust has begun, but the final test is near. Beware of the one you love.”
Aisha sank into her bed, heart pounding. The warnings were real. The danger was close. And now, she knew—nothing could be taken at face value. Every step, every decision, mattered.
