🌸 The Last Letter
Part 3 – Secrets and Trust
Aisha couldn’t sleep that night. Her mind was filled with questions about Armaan, the mysterious letters, and the strange text she had received. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw the white envelope floating in her bag, warning her about dangers she didn’t yet understand.
Next morning, she reached college earlier than usual. Her eyes kept searching for Armaan. And there he was, sitting near the library, looking at a notebook she hadn’t shown anyone. The moment he noticed her staring, he quickly closed it. Her heart skipped a beat. What is he hiding? she wondered.
During the first lecture, her phone buzzed. Another message from the unknown number:
“Someone close to you will betray you soon. Be careful.”
Aisha’s stomach churned. She immediately thought of Nisha. Could her former friend really be planning something? But then, she hesitated. What if it was someone else entirely? Someone she trusted deeply? The thought terrified her.
---
After college, Aisha decided to follow Armaan discreetly. She noticed him meeting a man in a quiet alley. The man handed him a small package. Aisha’s heart raced. Who was this man? What was in the package? Was Armaan really trustworthy, or was he connected to the letters?
She returned home with a heavy heart. As she opened the door, her bag moved slightly. Another envelope had appeared. Hands trembling, she opened it:
“Tomorrow, you will face danger. Only trust your instincts.”
Her hands shook. Danger? What kind of danger? And why was her instinct telling her that Armaan might be involved somehow?
---
That evening, she tried calling Armaan. He didn’t answer. She sent a text, but it remained unread for hours. Aisha felt a mix of worry and fear. She remembered his words from Part 2:
“I feel like someone is watching you… and it’s not safe.”
Was he really on her side, or was he playing a part in the mystery? Her mind was spinning in circles.
Suddenly, there was a soft knock on her window. She peeked outside. It was Armaan, holding the same small umbrella from before. His eyes looked serious, almost worried.
“Come with me. I need to show you something,” he whispered.
Aisha hesitated. Her instincts screamed danger, but her heart pulled her forward. She nodded slowly, taking a deep breath.
---
They walked silently through empty streets until they reached an abandoned building at the edge of town. Armaan motioned for her to be quiet. Inside, shadows moved on the walls. Aisha’s pulse raced.
“This is where I first saw someone sending the letters,” Armaan said in a low voice. “I think I know who is behind them… but I need your trust to find out the truth.”
Aisha’s mind screamed caution. But the urgency in his eyes made her feel that he was sincere. She nodded, deciding to trust him… at least for now.
As they explored the building, Aisha suddenly felt a presence behind her. She turned quickly—nothing. Then a shadow moved across the wall. Her heart pounded in fear.
Before she could react, a voice whispered from the dark:
“You shouldn’t be here, Aisha.”
Her breath caught. The voice was familiar, but she couldn’t place it. Armaan grabbed her hand and pulled her behind a pillar.
“What… who was that?” she whispered, trembling.
Armaan shook his head. “I don’t know yet. But this is bigger than both of us.”
---
That night, back at home, another envelope appeared in her bag. She opened it carefully:
“Trust no one completely. Danger is closer than you think.”
Aisha sank to the floor. Her heart ached. The warnings were real, the danger was real, and she realized she could trust no one completely—not even herself.
But one thing was clear: she couldn’t ignore Armaan anymore. The connection, the feelings, and the mystery pulling her toward him were stronger than her fear.
