🌸 The Last Letter

Part 1 – The Beginning

Aisha was an ordinary college girl living in a small town. Her life was simple. She went to college, attended classes, studied in the library, came back home, and spent time with her family. Nothing exciting ever happened in her life, and she liked it that way. Calm and peaceful. That is, until the evening she found the first mysterious letter.

It was a normal Thursday. Aisha was walking home from college, her books pressed tightly against her chest. The sky was painted with soft shades of orange and pink. She loved these quiet moments, listening to the soft sounds of the town. But today, something felt strange.

As she reached into her bag to take out her water bottle, her fingers brushed against something unusual. A small white envelope, tucked between her notebooks. She frowned. “I didn’t put this here… How did it get in my bag?”

Curiosity won over her caution. She opened the envelope and pulled out the note inside. Her eyes scanned the neatly written words:

Don’t take the 7:30 bus tomorrow.”

Aisha blinked. For a moment, she thought it was a prank. “Who would do this?” she whispered to herself. But she shrugged it off, thinking it was probably a silly joke, and placed the note in her drawer.

The next morning, Aisha’s day started like any other. She hurried to catch the 7:30 bus, her backpack bouncing on her shoulders. Just as she reached the bus stop, her shoelace snapped. She bent down to tie it, cursing softly under her breath. By the time she stood up, the bus had left.

Later, at college, she overheard some students talking in shocked voices. Her stomach tightened.

“The 7:30 bus… it met with an accident this morning. Several injured, some badly hurt.”

Aisha froze. Her hands shook as the memory of the note flashed in her mind. “Don’t take the 7:30 bus tomorrow.” She could hardly believe it. The note had saved her life.

A few days later, as she walked home, another envelope appeared in her bag. This one was different—it felt heavier somehow. Aisha tore it open carefully.

Don’t trust the one who calls you ‘best friend.’”

Her heart sank. Her best friend, Nisha, instantly came to mind. Could it really mean her? She didn’t want to believe it. Nisha had been by her side for years. But deep down, a small worry crept in.

That evening, Aisha overheard Nisha laughing with a group of students in the canteen. The words reached her ears like a knife:

“Poor Aisha thinks I’m her best friend. I only sit with her because she helps me with assignments. Otherwise, who would even talk to her?”

Aisha’s chest tightened. The letter had been right. Her trusted friend had betrayed her.

---

From that day, Aisha began noticing a pattern. Every week, a new envelope appeared mysteriously, each one giving a warning. Some were small, some were serious, but all seemed to be about things that could change her life—or even put it in danger. At first, she was terrified. Slowly, though, she started depending on the letters, following them carefully. It was like having an invisible guide, warning her about dangers no one else could see.

Then came the day that changed everything.

A rainy afternoon, the sky dark with heavy clouds, and a letter appeared that made her blood run cold. She opened it with trembling hands:

If you want to live, don’t fall in love with him.”

Aisha’s mind raced. Who was ‘him’? Why would falling in love be dangerous? She clutched the letter tightly. Her heart beat fast with fear… and curiosity.

The next day, a new boy joined her class. Tall, with sharp but gentle eyes, and a calm, friendly smile. His name was Armaan.

From the moment he looked at her, Aisha felt something she had never felt before. A strange pull in her chest, a flutter in her stomach. She couldn’t explain it. But then she remembered the warning from the letter.

Don’t fall in love with him.

Her heart whispered yes, but the letter screamed no. Confusion and fear battled inside her.

At that very moment, Armaan walked straight to her desk.

“Hi, I’m new here. Can you help me with the notes?” he asked, smiling warmly.

Aisha froze. Her hands shook. Her mind was screaming, Don’t trust him! but a part of her wanted to say yes.
