I went for a play. Before the play started, there was an announcement, “Some scenes in the play depict the actors smoking and drinking. Please note that the actors or the makers of the play do not support smoking and drinking alcohol.”
“How socially responsible.” I thought.
In the play, there were scenes depicting people lying and back stabbing. There were scenes of spouses cheating on each other. There were scenes of husband and wife fighting and the husband slapping his wife. Interestingly, there was no disclaimer stating that the actors or the makers of the play do not support or condone such acts.
“Why?” I wondered.
