લોકો પૂછે છે તું કેમ એટલું લખે છે?

હવે એમને કેમ સમજાવું કે...
દિવસમાં હસતા લોકો પણ
રાતે અંદરથી તૂટી જાય છે.

કેટલીક વાતો કોઈને કહી શકાતી નથી,
કેટલીક લાગણીઓ કોઈ સાંભળતું નથી...

એ બધું દિલમાં ભરાઈ જાય છે,
અને પછી શબ્દ બની જાય છે...

અને એ શબ્દો…
મારી કવિતામાં વહીને કોઈ અજાણ્યા
દિલને થોડું હળવું કરી જાય છે...!!
