Vedanta 2.0 — The Path of Knowledge

The root of knowledge is not to know more,
but to see who the knower is.

Knowledge does not mean scriptures.
It does not mean information about the world.
Knowledge means understanding.

And that understanding converges at one point:
“Who am I?”

This much knowledge is enough.
One question — the final question.

Even to understand meditation, this clarity is needed.
Without knowledge, meditation becomes only a practice —
depth appears, but truth does not.

Devotion without understanding is blind.
Blind devotion becomes part of religion,
not of truth.

Action too is impossible without knowledge,
because action without understanding is merely ego in motion.
Animals also act —
good actions alone are not yoga.

The West does not understand devotion
because it is not natural there.
Devotion without understanding becomes emotionality.

Therefore, the highest element is understanding.

When the realization comes —
“Who am I?”
it no longer feels complex.

Because upon seeing, it is discovered that
the “I” is not fixed anywhere —
not in thought,
not in the body,
not in desire.

Only then the question arises:
Who am I?

When this question arises truthfully,
the inner curtain begins to fall.
The ego even stops pretending to be a guru.

This question has no answer —
and that is why it is fundamental.

The same process by which we understand others
turns inward.

Like a machine realizing,
“I am a constructed device,”
its existence becomes clear.

Similarly, when a human inquires into oneself,
the only true answer appears:

“I am nowhere.”

In that moment, thought stops,
logic faints,
desire turns to stone.

This is death.
And here, truth is born.
