Preparations for Madhavi’s engagement were in full swing. The house was buzzing with excitement—floral decorations, sweets being ordered, guests being listed—but despite all the cheer, something felt off. As if a strange, ominous presence lingered in the corners of the house. Even amidst the laughter, there was a heavy, shadowy air that refused to lift.
“Something’s not right,” Tanvi whispered to herself, gazing out the window toward the old mansion.
Eventually, the engagement took place—but it felt forced, like everyone was pretending things were okay. The smiles looked fake, the atmosphere unnaturally tense. Soon after, thunder rumbled through the sky, cold winds brushed past the windows, and just then, Raghav noticed Vishwanath Kaka standing by the window, eyes closed, whispering to himself—
“Just don’t let that shadow return to this house… I’ll handle the rest.”
Raghav heard him but didn’t confront him. He could tell Kaka and Kaku were hiding something. Every time Raghav tried talking to them seriously, they either changed the topic or dismissed his concerns. Raghav’s mind was filled with stormy questions.
“Mom… is there something you’re hiding from us?”
“No, son. You’re just overthinking,” Sunanda his mother replied with a forced smile, but her face clearly betrayed worry.
Raghav grew frustrated. Something was going on in the house, something he was being kept away from, and it was driving him mad. He turned to Tanvi.
“Have you noticed anything?”
Tanvi nodded. “That mansion… there’s something strange about it. But no one wants to acknowledge it.”
Raghav felt lost. Every look, every gesture around him felt suspicious. Tanvi always brought up visiting the old mansion, and he’d always shut her down, even yelled at her.
“Tanvi, I said no! Don’t bring up that place again. Nobody goes there!”
“Why, Raghav? What’s so wrong with it? Something’s bothering you, isn’t it?” she challenged him.
Then one evening, after a small argument, the mansion came up again. Raghav noticed something shift in Tanvi. Her neck tilted ever so slightly, and her eyes had an eerie glow. For a moment, she didn’t seem like herself. Her voice dropped coldly:
“Nothing has been forgotten in that mansion, Raghav… someone still waits.”
Raghav froze. “What did you just say?”
Tanvi blinked, as if waking up. “Me? I didn’t say anything…”
His confusion grew. Tanvi’s behavior was changing—her connection to the mansion, her sudden shifts in mood—it all added to his unease.
That night, when everyone was asleep, Raghav quietly crept downstairs. He overheard Vishwanath Kaka and vedehi Kaku whispering intensely.
“If we awaken that shadow again, the curse will return,” Kaka said solemnly.
“My heart’s not at ease… why is all this happening around the engagement?” Kaku’s voice trembled.
“She’s still here,” Kaka whispered. “I made a mistake. When I…”
Suddenly, Raghav made a slight noise, and both of them jumped.
“Who’s there?” Kaka’s voice was tense.
“It’s me…” Raghav stepped forward. “Please, kaka, just tell me—who were you talking about? Who is still here?”
Neither of them responded. Finally, Kaku said one thing only—
“No one is to enter that mansion. That’s final.”

The next day, Tanvi went about helping Madhavi as usual, but her thoughts were stuck on what she’d overheard the night before. She wanted to talk to Raghav, but he seemed more agitated than ever.
“What’s going on, Raghav? You weren’t like this before…”
“My head feels like it’s trapped in a fog of secrets, Tanvi. I can’t understand anything anymore.”
That evening, Tanvi decided to sneak near the mansion again. She walked to the door—it was locked. Clearly someone had deliberately sealed it. But peeking through one of the broken windows, she saw something—or rather, someone—inside. A faint shape of a woman, slumped against the wall, silently crying.
“Sa-a-a-ee…” a whisper echoed around her.
Tanvi turned sharply. No one was there.
She rushed back inside, her hands trembling. But she didn’t tell Raghav anything. She completely ignores it ghost and all there is someone who is trying to scare the family like the person did with me
…And one question haunted her mind now—what exactly is hidden in the walls of that mansion? And who is the person that scared the family and the people of the village who once dared to go near it?
Tanvi couldn’t sleep that night. The image of the shadow, the eerie whisper of "Sa-a-a-ee..." still echoed in her ears. Her instincts screamed that —it was something real. Something alive in memory, if not in flesh.
The next morning, while helping Madhavi choose her wedding saree, Tanvi kept zoning out. Her mind drifted back to the mansion, to the fear in Vaidehi Kaku’s eyes, and Vishwanath Kaka’s words—“I made a mistake...”
Suddenly, Madhavi touched her hand. “Are you okay? You seem off.”
Tanvi forced a smile. “Just tired. All the preparations, you know…”
Madhavi didn’t press further, but her eyes held a flicker of concern. “Don’t overthink, Tanvi. Some places just carry old energy. Maybe you’re picking up on that.”
Tanvi nodded absentmindedly. But she couldn’t shake the feeling that Madhavi knew more than she was saying. And maybe, just maybe, she too had felt something strange.
That evening, Sunanda tried to lighten the mood by calling for a family dinner. Laughter returned briefly, but the tension under the surface never really left. Raghav sat silently, poking at his food. His eyes kept drifting to the window—toward the mansion.

when usha mavshi the servant brought Raghav tea, he finally spoke. “I heard something… last night. Kaka mentioned a curse. And someone still being ‘here.’ What if we’re not just imagining things?” he thought in his mind
Mavshi looked at him, her voice steady. “We’re not. I saw her.”
Raghav froze. “Who?”
Mavshi leaned and whispered, “The woman in the mansion. She’s waiting, Raghav. And she knows your name.”
He got scared for the moment and "WHO?" Than he woke up from his dream it was his dream looking at that wadha he was scared but he don't know of what
