Chapter 1 – When Two Hearts Meet
The evening sky in the city was painted with soft orange colors as the sun slowly disappeared behind the tall buildings. People were rushing home after a long day of work, but for Ananya, the day was just beginning.
Ananya loved evenings. After finishing her college classes, she always walked to a small park near her house. The park was quiet and peaceful, filled with green trees and the sweet sound of birds returning to their nests.
She sat on her favorite bench and opened her notebook. Writing stories was her biggest dream. Since childhood, she believed that love stories had the power to make people smile even on their worst days.
But today her mind was empty. She stared at the blank page, thinking about what to write.
At that moment, a strong wind blew through the park and suddenly her papers flew from the notebook.
“Oh no!” Ananya said in surprise and quickly stood up to collect them.
The papers scattered across the grass. Just as she was about to grab one of them, someone picked it up before her.
“Is this yours?” a calm voice asked.
Ananya looked up and saw a tall boy holding her paper. He had warm brown eyes and a friendly smile.
“Yes, thank you,” she replied while taking the paper.
The boy looked at the page for a second. “You write stories?”
Ananya felt a little shy. “Yes… I try.”
“That’s interesting,” he said. “Not many people follow their dreams these days.”
Ananya smiled slightly. “Dreams are important. They give life meaning.”
The boy nodded. “I agree. By the way, my name is Aarav.”
“I’m Ananya,” she replied.
They stood there for a moment, feeling a strange but comfortable silence between them.
Aarav pointed to the notebook. “So what kind of stories do you write?”
“Mostly love stories,” Ananya answered.
“Love stories?” Aarav said with a playful smile. “Do you believe in love that much?”
Ananya looked at the sky for a moment before answering.
“Yes,” she said softly. “I believe that one day everyone meets someone who changes their life.”
Aarav laughed gently. “That sounds like something from a movie.”
“Maybe,” Ananya said. “But sometimes movies are inspired by real life.”
They both sat on the park bench and continued talking. Minutes turned into an hour without them noticing.
They talked about their favorite books, music, and dreams for the future.
For the first time in a long while, Ananya felt completely comfortable talking to someone new.
As the park lights turned on and the night grew darker, Aarav stood up.
“I should go now,” he said. “But I hope we meet again, storyteller.”
Ananya smiled.
“Maybe we will,” she replied.
As Aarav walked away, Ananya sat quietly on the bench, thinking about the unexpected meeting.
She opened her notebook again and finally began writing.
Ananya looked at the words she had written and smiled softly. For the first time that evening, ideas began flowing easily into her mind. She started writing about a girl who meets a stranger in a quiet park and how that moment slowly changes her life.
While writing, she suddenly heard footsteps again. She looked up and saw Aarav returning.
“I forgot my phone here,” he said, picking it up from the bench.
Both of them laughed.
“Looks like fate wants us to meet again,” Aarav joked.
Ananya felt her heart beat a little faster. She didn’t know why, but something about this meeting felt special.
