Awakening Of Hidden Gene - 2

Part 2: The Ancestral Trigger

The question echoed inside his mind long after that night:
“What kind of environmental factors can activate a hidden gene?”

He paced around his room, unable to think of anything else. Genes could activate when the body needed to adapt… but what would awaken his?
Heat?
Cold?
Stress?
Fear?

Nothing felt right.

Then, like a spark in darkness, a new realization struck him:
What if our ancestors had this power… long before us?

He froze.

If humans evolved for survival in harsh conditions… if ancient tribes lived in forests, mountains, storms, and wilderness… maybe those were the environments that awakened something inside them.
Something we lost over time.

His heart raced.
He opened his laptop again and typed with shaking fingers:
“Ancient tribes environment and evolution.”

He read everything — anthropology papers, tribal rituals, evolutionary biology articles, old myths. Patterns began forming like puzzle pieces snapping into place.

Our ancestors lived deeply connected to nature — harsh climate, raw danger, pure survival.
Their bodies adapted.
Their instincts sharpened.
Their senses awakened.

The answer hit him like lightning:
If the environment becomes harmful or extreme… the body changes to survive. Evolution speeds up. Dormant genes activate.

“This is it…” he whispered to himself.

For the first time, he felt a strange pull inside — something guiding him, something wanting to awaken.

He didn’t wait.

The next morning, he prepared a small backpack — water, a few supplies, and a notebook. No one knew his true plan.
He left home silently and walked toward the nearby forest. It wasn’t a normal trip.
It was a test.
A journey back to where humans once evolved.

A 7-day jungle camp, alone.
No gadgets.
No comfort.
No shortcuts.

Only nature.
Only survival.
Only him.

Day 1 was full of fear — every sound felt dangerous, every tree looked alive.
But he continued.

Day 2, he began meditating by the river, letting nature fill his senses.
Birds chirping.
Wind brushing through leaves.
Water flowing like whispered secrets.

Day 3, he trained his body — running, climbing rocks, moving barefoot like warriors of old. His muscles burned, but something inside felt awakened.

Day 4, he practiced silence. Hours without a single word. Listening. Feeling. Becoming part of the jungle.

Day 5, he studied the stars at night. He imagined ancient humans doing the same, guiding their lives by the sky. He felt strangely connected to them.

Day 6, he pushed himself further — fasting, surviving only on natural water and fruits. His senses sharpened. Sounds became louder. Colours deeper. Heart calmer.

Then came Day 7 — the final test.

It was night.
The sky was pitch-black, covered with heavy clouds. Thunder rumbled like a beast waking up.

He stood at the edge of a cliff, staring at the sky.
His clothes were soaked in sweat and rain.
His body trembled — not from fear, but from the weight of failure building inside him.

He clenched his fists.

“What did I do wrong?” he shouted into the storm.
His voice cracked.
“Where did I fail?”
“Why didn’t anything awaken?”

His words broke into the wind.

And then, just as he lowered his head…

CRAAAAACK!

A blinding lightning bolt split the sky and struck the ground near him.
The shockwave slammed into his body.
His heart thumped violently.
His pupils widened.

For a fraction of a second, his eyes glowed —
a bright, electric BLUE.
Pure energy.
Pure power.
Pure awakening.

But it vanished instantly.

He gasped, falling to his knees. He didn’t see it happen. He didn’t know what sparked inside him.

Rain poured over him, washing away the moment.

He stood up slowly, exhausted and defeated.

“Maybe I was wrong…” he whispered.
And with heavy steps, he walked back home, believing nothing had changed.

But something had.

And it was only the beginning.
