Eco-friendly Lord ganesha

Vinayaka chaturthi

  • We all members know that we celebrate Vinayaka chaturthi yearly once
  • I observed that every where lord Ganesha was kept but it made up of chemical.
  • My way of thinking is to celebrate Vinayaka chaturthi without any chemicals. Then there will be water pollution. There will be use by using eco-friendly Lord ganesha
  • How is my plan read it and review it

We all members are celebrating Vinayaka chaturthi yearly once by chemicals it is all ok but it is very harmful to aquatic animals in water .

My plan is not to celebrate Vinayaka chaturthi.

We should celebrate it but not with chemicals. Celebrate with soil which is useful to nature and natural.

Throwing chemical Ganesh idols into water bodies kills aquatic animals by depleting oxygen, increasing water acidity, and releasing heavy metals like lead and mercury, which poison the ecosystem and damage marine life. Plaster of Paris (POP) idols consume oxygen, and the paints used to decorate them contain toxic substances, creating a harmful chemical concoction that pollutes the water for years.

How chemical Ganesh idols harm aquatic life:

Oxygen Depletion: Plaster of Paris (POP), a common material in Ganesh idols, dissolves slowly in water and releases chemicals that significantly reduce the dissolved oxygen levels essential for fish and other aquatic organisms to survive.

Heavy Metal Poisoning: The vibrant paints used to adorn the idols contain heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and cadmium. When these paints dissolve, they introduce these toxins into the water, poisoning the ecosystem and harming aquatic life.

Increased Acidity: The chemicals from POP and the paints can increase the acidity of the water, which is detrimental to the health of marine plants and animals.

Ecosystem Disruption: The combination of low oxygen, heavy metal contamination, and altered pH levels creates an unfavorable environment for marine life, leading to the suffocation and death of fish, turtles, and other creatures.

Long-Term Pollution: These chemical pollutants do not disappear quickly; they remain in the water bodies, potentially contaminating the water source for years and continuing to damage the ecosystem.

So...

We will make eco-friendly Lord ganesha and celebrate the Vinayaka chaturthi without any chemicals

Eco Friendly Ganesh Murti Or Not? Use These 5 Important Tips ...To create a Ganesha idol without chemicals, use natural clay or dough made from wheat flour, and decorate it with natural colors like turmeric, beetroot, or henna. Enhance the creation with decorations like fresh flowers, leaves, bamboo, and jute, which are all environmentally friendly and can be composted or reused after the festival

Materials to Use

Natural Clay or Garden Mud: These are biodegradable and safe for the environment.

Flour-Based Dough: Mix wheat flour, salt, and water to create a moldable dough for your idol.

Natural Colors: Use organic ingredients like turmeric (yellow), beetroot (red), or henna (brown) to add vibrant, non-toxic colors.

Seeds: Add seeds of plants like tulsi or tomato to your idol, allowing it to grow into a plant after immersion.

Fresh Flowers and Leaves: Decorate with marigolds, roses, jasmine, and mango leaves, which are biodegradable and add fragrance.

Decoration and Construction Ideas

Plantable Idols: Mix seeds into the clay or dough of your idol, creating a special idol that will grow into plants after the festival.

Natural Decorations: Use dried flowers, leaves, or petals to create beautiful and natural decorations for your idol.
