“I think your sister also has been in the same condition as you people are now.” Long before Chandan has forgotten to sip his coffee and it became lukewarm and he put it in the plate of snacks. Chandan did not even taste anything in his plate and it was lying on the floor beside him just like that after he put it there. The topic they were discussing then was indeed very much trying.
“You are absolutely right!” Ratan nodded his head. “Once they offered money like that, she just did not know what to do and is in a complete dilemma! She knows very well in how much financial crisis our family is now and twenty lakhs rupees is just a boon! But she is thinking about the role, about our family disgrace and the bad reputation it may get if it has been seen by the people around. There is no necessity that movie needs to be released in the theatres around. There are several apps which are providing newly released other language movies also to watch. If the people here come to know that my sister is the heroine in it, even it is not in our language they do watch it. The situation afterwards is appalling even to think.”
“But acting in a movie is not wrong. Playing a role whatever it is in a move is not an offence and your sister is not going to be punished for it. We everyday seeing how the actresses are considered high even they played very sexy and obscene roles. Before we think about anything else, we have to think about the twenty lakhs rupees and how your family can be freed of all your problems by it. No one who ridicules you or comments you seeing the movie of your sister, does not help you in solving your problem.”
“So you support my sister’s acting in that movie?” suddenly Ratan’s face was filled with happy expression.
“Of course, yes. I support that.” Chandan nodded his head and said. “But one thing I want to say to you here. You three tell your sister that you do support her acting in the movie but she need not do it if she does not like it. She can act in it only if it is hundred percent appealing to her.”
“I tell her so. You indeed give me a very good suggestion!” Ratan laughed. “I am now free out of my dilemma.”
“I am thinking one thing to do also. I tell about this to my sister and see what she says. I think she also says the same thing I said to you and I make her talk with your sister. That will give her even more courage to do what she does want to do.” Chandan said.
“You are absolutely right. They are good friends and Vasanthi certainly feels happy and more confident if your sister talks with her about it.” Ratan said but suddenly his face become serious. “You indeed have given me a very good suggestion and arrive at a decision. It may not be the correct time to talk about it. But I cannot remain without talking about it with you.”
“Just feel free to talk whatever you want to talk with me.” Whatever Ratan said made the heart beat quickened in Chandan. Unless it was not something serious, Ratan would not have said it like that.
“Did you inquire with your sister where from she has got that much money?”
“No, I did not” Chandan’s heart beat increased to the maximum and filled with a sort of uneasiness. In fact that was troubling him for a long time but could not ask about it to his sister.
“Do you really believe that her friend has given that amount so to her? Ever any friend gives money like that without reason?” Ratan knitted his brows.
“You are absolutely right. I don’t buy it. But I just cannot ask her straight about that. We have just settled in our lives and she also disturbed a lot because of the incidents. I don’t want to upset her by asking unwanted questions. If it is something that she can willingly tell to me, she would have told me about it.”
“So you do want to leave the matter without any probing in it and you are thinking it is wise” Chandan angrily said. “Don’t forget that your sister is not only very much young but absolutely beautiful also. You don’t know present day men and they can easily take advantage of her.”
“What you do really want to say to me then?” Chandan felt as if his heart was stopped for a moment before picking up its usual pace.
“I think you also know about the website ‘Choose Your Mate’. All the youth and other people also register their names in that and mainly it is a local website with the details of in and around people. I also have registered in that and I saw your sister’s picture in that with another name and credentials but with the same phone number.”
“I heard about that website but I did not register in it myself.” Chandan said still looking straight into the face of Chandan. “So what?”
“That website is being used for other purposes also. In fact the main purpose behind launching that website is that. Men whether registered in it or not phone to the beautiful girls in that website for sexual favours for money.” Ratan said.
“So in your opinion some person, contacted my sister, bargained a price, used her for sexual pleasure and paid that money.” Chandan did not know how he could say it like that but he already started believing it and very much in shock.
“You know what a good friend I am to you and with how much high esteem I consider your family.” Ratan said. “But it is quite natural to commit mistakes. If your sister has really committed a mistake like that, it not high time yet to put her in the right track.”
“You are absolutely right my friend! You are absolutely right!” Chandan nodded his head. “I agree with you and I talk this matter out with my sister at the first opportunity possible and sort it out.”
“Don’t try to be harsh with her. Mistakes like these are common in youth. You responsibility is just to put her in the right tract without doing such mistakes in future.” With a cautioning expression in his face Ratan said.
“I remember this, don’t worry.” Chandan laughed. He knew the special interest Ratan has on his sister and he could understand why he was taking care like that about her.
Then Sarojini came out and invited both of them for lunch. Chandan tried to deny but as both Ratan and his mother compelled him to take it in their home then, he could not deny it.

It was only the next day Chandan could broach the subject of money with her sister when she asked him about his joining in the company by paying the caution deposit.
“I sure do it. But before that you have to tell me how you have got that much of amount with you. Don’t try to tell me the same story that your friend gave it to you and I am not going to buy it.”
“If you are that much persistent to know about the source of it, just forget about my paying the caution deposit. You may better make other arrangements for making the caution deposit or altogether forget about that job.” With an irritating expression in her face Sailaja said.
“I have no objection to select either of those options but don’t take your money without knowing about the source of it.” With the same firmness in his voice Chandan said.
Sailaja did not say anything to that and her face filled with uneasy expression.
“Anyhow if you are feeling too much to tell me about the source of it, may I make a wild guess? You just have to tell me whether it is true or false.” After few seconds pause Chandan said.
“Alright let me hear what your guess is. I will tell you whether it is true or not.” Sailaja said but her heart beat increased. She understood that her brother guessed it correctly how she has earned that money.
“You have registered yourself in the website ‘Choose Your Mate’. Seeing your photograph and details in it, some guy or guys called you for having sexual services and paid the money as you have provided those services to them. Just tell me whether it is true or not?” Chandan himself also was feeling lot of uneasiness to question his sister like that looking straight into her face. It was indeed very first time in his life that he talked like that with her.
However much she expected that her brother has guessed it, the startling expression in her face was so profound when she heard it from him. She just remained silent staring at him with little gaped mouth and her shock was so clear in her face.
“Your silence like this is proving what I have said is true. Are not you feeling any shame to do it like that? Anyhow why did you do it so? Presently we are comfortable with money and there is no necessity to you to earn it like that.” The disgusting and hateful expression in his face was so much disturbing to her.
“You have asked me a question, whether our family welfare was the only reason to our sister Charita to take the decision to live along with her husband who is one of her gang-rapists or was there something else. You have doubted whether the sexual urge in her also has a role in making her to take that decision, did not you?” looking straight into his face Sailaja asked him.
“Of course I asked you that and I agree now and it is not just keeping our family welfare she has taken the decision to live along with her husband. But she has married to him and there is no wrong whatsoever if she has it with him. How you do compare it with what you have done?” Chandan angrily said.
“I am not making any comparison. I am just trying to make you understand the power of urge in us sometimes. Our sister has become ready even to sleep with the man who gang-raped her before just to satisfy her uncontrollable urge. That is the intensity of the urge which made her to determine like that. I have registered in the website, not just me, many girls and boys also did that and while I was suffering with such intensive urge I received a phone call from a man and I just could not deny. To be frank the overwhelming urge in me then made me agree to that. But brother when it was over I felt so happy and proud of that.”
“I just cannot understand how you can feel proud for such an immoral and indecent thing!” the disgusting expression in the face of Chandan was just so.
“The person who phoned to me has family problems and he indeed wanted someone to share his problems and mental peace. Of course having some sex also was in his ideas and I appeared suitable to me. He offered beautiful money for exchange of that and I must be frank it was not for the money’s sake I went to him. I heard his problems and provided him with mental peace and have given myself sexually also as it was a requirement not just to him but to me also. He was a man suffering so much sexually and otherwise with his wife and in that six hours or so of time he enjoyed a lot with me and we both have become best friends. He asked me to remain as his best friend forever I agreed to it and asked him not to pay any amount if he wanted us both be best friends forever also. He agreed to that but while I was coming to home he paid me two lakhs rupees instead of one lakh and this was the message he sent along with the money.” Then she opened her cell phone and has shown that message to him.
