“It does not happen like that as Anirudh is not under control of him at all.” Ratan said but it appeared he also could not believe what he was saying. “That Anirudh is doing a job and there is no necessity to him to depend on that Tarang anymore.”
“I want to believe it but I cannot. I am afraid that Anirudh is still under the control of that rogue.” The anxiousness in the face of Chandan was just so.
“There is only one way to relieve you from your fear.” Ratan stooped forward in the chair. “Go and talk with your Anirudh. Said to him what Tarang said and see how he responds.”
“Talking with that Anirudh? After that incident I did not talk with him even for once. I just could not. I am feeling uncontrollable anger just at the site of him.” With gathered frowns Chandan said and his forehead creased with frowns.
“If you feel in this way how your sister would feel to live along with him?” Ratan leaned back in the chair and adjusted himself for more comfort. “He is now your brother in law, a close relative to you. Go and talk with him and that only can expel your fears.”
“Alright. I do that.” Chandan got off from the chair. In fact Chandan came there to spend lot of time with Ratan but once Chandan gave such a suggestion he thought putting that into practice as early as possible was the best thing to do.

Chandan never before felt that much uneasily as he was then while he was walking towards Anirudh’s house from Ratan’s. Even after the marriage, even after his sister herself went to his home to live along with him, he just could not forget what he did to his sister. He still could not believe however much it was advantageous to his family, his sister herself agreed to marry him.
“Oh, brother. I am happy that you came to my house.” It was his sister Charita greeted him at the threshold and invited him with a warm smile on her lips but the odd expression in her face did not go unnoticed by Chandan. He knew that her sister understood it was not easy to him to come to that house and confront her husband.
“I am also happy.” Chandan forced a smile onto his lips “I want to see how you are doing and talk with my brother in law......”
“He has come from his office half an hour or so back and taking rest in his room. I tell him that you came and want to talk with him.” Charita turned and took two steps.
“Tell him that I want to have some confidential conversation to him.” He said on the back of her.
“Is it is that much confidential and I am also not privy to that?” she turned back and looked into his face with gathered frowns.
“Of course, yes.” Chandan laughed. “My brother in law and I are entitled to have some confidential conversation, are not we?”
Then Charita turned back once again and moved away from that place without looking back and just in seconds Anirudh came out of his room along with Charita.
“I am feeling very happy that you not only came to our home but want to talk with me also.” Anirudh said and he perfectly understood what would be his brother-in-law’s feeling towards one of the gang-rapists of his sister.
“Yes, of course. But in private and confidential!” Chandan pulled a serious expression into his face.
“Do you object if we both retire into our room and talk?” looking into the face of Charita, Anirudh asked her.
“Of course, no.” Charita said with a smile on her lips. “You both have it together as long as you want and all the time I help my mother in law in kitchen.” She moved away from that place.
“Come” Anirudh moved away from that place and Chandan just followed him into his room.

“I can understand your feeling completely towards me. You have to put indeed an effort to come to my home like this and talk with him. I am extremely sorry what I did to her on that day and thank you that you ultimately decided to come and see me.” Once Anirudh on the bed and Chandan in the chair opposite to him nearby to the bed settled, Anirudh said. That chair was folded and in a corner in that room before Chandan came into that and Anirudh unfolded it and laid it for him.
“That was an old story, an incident took place and cannot be undone. Anyhow amends has been made to it and the parties to it are at peace. I am not intended to talk about that now and I have no anger on you also. In fact.....” Chandan paused for a moment as if to reiterate whatever he was going to say. “...........I wish a very happy marital life to you and my sister.”
“Thank you, thank you very much!” Anirudh’s face was suddenly brightened with a happy expression. “I never have expected that I can hear something like that from you.”
“But .....” the sudden serious expression on the face of Chandan made Anirudh alert. Then he remembered what Chandan said. He said that he wanted to have some private and confidential talk, what that could be? What that could be that he did not want even his sister to know? While his heart was with a sort of fear Chandan was saying. “.........I came here to talk something very important and serious.”
“Just express yourself with a free heart.” Trying not to show his inner fear on his face, Anirudh said. “It appears that you are feeling anxious for something and I expel your fear just in seconds.”
“I wish and hope that it would so.” Chandan said. “I come to the point straight. How much of control that rogue Tarang wielding on you now?”
“What does that mean?” Anirudh knitted his brows together.
Chandan got off from the bed, came near to Anirudh and looked straight into his face.
“I know that Tarang has been helping you and you always feel obliged to him. I think because of that, in obligation to him, you have participated in that horrendous activity on that day. Is it is just so now also?”
“I agree with you on one thing. That Tarang used to have control on me and in fact he forced me to rape your sister on that day. That was such a moment I could not think straight and I must be frank your sister beautiful naked body created an uncontrollable desire in me also. There was fault on my part also and I am also as much guilty as the other two. But....” Chandan knitted his brows together. “.....once the full import of sense came to me and I understood to how much dirty and disgusting thing I have become a partner, I started feeling hate on myself and put a full stop to the friendship of that rogue. Luckily I have got a job and now there is no necessity to me to depend on that Tarang. Even I have not got a job, I never do go to him for anyhelp and he never can be a friend to me again. He is not yielding any control on me now and he cannot make me a partner in any disgusting and horrendous acts.”
Chandan did not say anything, went near to the chair and slumped himself in that again.
“Now I understood that you came here particularly to ask this. I don’t know how to convince you but what I have said now is the absolute truth.” Anirudh got off from the bed, came near to Chandan and put his right hand on his right shoulder and Chandan looked into his face. “May I know why do you want to have a clarification like this from me?”
“You should know and I tell you.” Chandan got off from the chair looking like that into the face of Anirudh. “In the afternoon of this day, while I was going to my friend Ratan’s home that rogue came across me.” Then in a measured tone he explained to Anirudh what Tarang said to him and by the time Chandan finished that, Anirudh’s face filled with an angry expression and Chandan understood that he was bubbling with anger.
“Scoundrel! How dare he is to talk like that?” Anirudh’s voice was with utmost force and anger.
“I think you can now understand why I have asked you like that.” Chandan said sighing heavily.
“So you thought that I am still under the control of him and I give my wife to him to fuck if he wants!” Anirudh did not think that he could get angry like that on Chandan.
“You fucked her just because he forced you to do that. What is the surprise if you agree to his that nasty wish also?”
It was like a whiplash to Anirudh and there was deep hurt in his face. “I agree with you that I was under the control of him then and without his force I would not have committed it on your sister on that day. But.......” he nodded his head with a helpless expression in his face. “..........I don’t know how to convince you. I simply kill that bastard if he ever comes near to me and say such type of a thing!”
Chandan did not say anything but remained silent still looking into the face of Anirudh. The expression in his face was appearing quite genuine and he understood what Anirudh said, he meant it then.
“In fact I love and like your sister and many a time I wanted her to become my wife. But I never have thought that it would happen in this way. She is like an angel to me and my thinking is all the time only one now, to keep her happy! I just cannot bear even a thought like that, give her to that bloody bastard Tarang. If anyone ever tries to do any harm to her, I just simply kill him.” Anirudh was very much vehement.
“Alright then, I believe you.”Then Chandan did something which he never thought that he could. He hugged Anirudh and kissed on the right cheek of him. “My sister Charita is so much precious thing to all our family also and we all just want her to be happy. I say I am feeling confident on you hearing and you expelled my fears. But.........” Chandan paused for a second and now there was a sudden fearful expression in his face “..........that Tarang is indeed a bad fellow! He is rich and capable! If he really wants to have it with my sister again, he can have it.”
“You need not feel fear like that.” Relieving himself from the hug of Chandan, Anirudh said. “His marriage is settled with a very rich girl and he is going to marry her very soon. It is just because of your sister as she did not to file a complaint against us. If she filed a complaint, his father never could even dream to settle that girl to his son on which he has lot of hopes. In fact it was he who was more desperate to hush that issue then. If anything nasty he does and it goes into the knowledge of that girl’s family, his marriage would be off and he and his father also cannot afford that.”
“But what if he tries to do something undesirable after marriage?” Chandan knitted his brows together. Even though he was relaxed by hearing that from Anirudh but there was still some fear in him and that was reflected in his face.
“It does not happen like that. So far as per my information his would be father in law family is not only rich but famous and reputed also and his would be wife also clever and intelligent! She would have such hold on him that he cannot dare to do nasty things. Even that nasty thing also if ever comes to her knowledge it would be very bad to him and it will be just so if he commits any bad things in future that come to her knowledge. You feel just relaxed!”
