HEIRS OF HEART - 26

After getting dressed, they sat down to enjoy their breakfast, savoring the delicious food and each other's company. Once they finished, they headed downstairs to the lobby, where Siddharth's eyes sparkled with excitement. "So, what are we doing?" Shruti asked, her curiosity piqued.

Siddharth winked, his smile mischievous. "We're going to your favorite place," he said, his voice filled with anticipation. Shruti's curiosity was piqued, and she followed him as he started walking. After a few minutes of walking, they emerged onto the sunny beach, the warm sand beneath their feet and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

Shruti's eyes widened in delight, and she exclaimed, "OMG!" She was practically jumping with excitement, her love for the beach evident in her enthusiasm. She had always loved the beach since childhood, and being here now brought back happy memories.

She ran towards the shore, feeling the cool water waves touch her feet. The sensation was invigorating, and she felt her worries melting away. "This is the best!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with joy.

Siddharth walked towards her and stood beside her, taking in the breathtaking view. "Indeed," he said, his voice filled with appreciation. Shruti looked at his side profile, admiring the way the sunlight danced in his eyes and the wind ruffled through his hair.

As she gazed at him, a mischievous thought crossed her mind. Siddharth was taking in the view, oblivious to the impending surprise, when suddenly water splashed onto his face. "Hey!" he exclaimed, looking at Shruti with a mixture of surprise and amusement.

Shruti was laughing, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Siddharth's expression changed, and he smiled mischievously. "You think you can get away with that?" he said, and with a quick movement, he splashed water back at her.

The game was on, and soon they were splashing water at each other, laughing and playing in the waves. The sun shone down on them, and the sea spray created a misty veil, adding to the magic of the moment.

After a while, Shruti and Siddharth stood on the beach, their clothes clinging to their bodies, totally soaked in water. A wave of wind swept past them, and Shruti shivered, her teeth chattering slightly. Siddharth noticed her reaction and said, "We should get changed or else you'll catch a cold."

Shruti chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Come on, we're on a beach. It's okay to get a little soaked," she said, her voice carefree. Siddharth smiled, and they walked towards the beach chairs, sitting down to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea.

As they chatted and relaxed, they suddenly heard a commotion. They turned their attention to the source of the noise and saw two children arguing. The boy was saying, "You have to admit it!" while the girl was adamant, "I won't!" Their voices escalated, and soon they started fighting.

Shruti and Siddharth exchanged a concerned glance and rushed towards the children. Shruti quickly pulled back the girl, holding her gently but firmly. "Hey, calm down, don't fight!" she said, her voice soothing.

Siddharth grabbed the boy by the back of his t-shirt and picked him up, holding him at a safe distance from the girl. "Calm down, little buddy, you shouldn't raise a hand on a girl," he said, his voice firm but kind.

The boy protested, "But she hit me first!" The girl retorted, "That's because you said girls are weak!" The argument continued, with neither child willing to back down.

Shruti tried to calm them down, but they were still bickering. She looked helplessly at Siddharth, who caught her glance and then looked at some people playing volleyball in the distance. A mischievous glint appeared in his eye, and he said, "How about we decide that with a volleyball match?"

Shruti's face lit up with excitement. "Yeah, let's do it!" she said. The boy, fueled by determination, exclaimed, "Fine, I'll prove it that boys are strong!" The girl, equally determined, retorted, "We'll see!" The stage was set for a fun and competitive volleyball match.

As they walked towards the court, Shruti suggested, "We should make two teams." The girl's eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, "Yes, a girl's team!" Shruti smiled and turned to her. "Okay, what's your name by the way?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

"I'm Anaya," the little girl replied, her voice filled with confidence. Shruti nodded, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Okay, Anaya, let's make a team," she said, extending her hand in a gesture of friendship.

Aarav, the little boy, looked up at Siddharth and held out his hand. "I'm Aarav," he said, his voice filled with excitement. Siddharth looked down at the boy and shook his hand, chuckling at the boy's enthusiasm. "I'm Siddharth," he said, smiling.

Just as they were deciding on teams, a group of youngsters approached them. "Hey, can we play too?" one of the guys asked, his eyes fixed on the court. Shruti and Siddharth exchanged a glance, and Shruti nodded. "Sure," she said, smiling.

The group of youngsters eagerly joined in, and soon they were divided into two teams. The girl's team consisted of Shruti, Anaya, and two other girls, who were eager to show off their skills. The boy's team, on the other hand, was made up of Siddharth, Aarav, and two other boys, who were determined to win.

The stage was set for a fun and competitive match, with both teams ready to face off against each other. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and anticipation. The game was about to begin, and everyone was ready to give it their all.

"Okay, so both teams have to earn 15 points in 30 minutes, we'll count a point if the ball hits the ground on the opponent's court." Shruti explained, her voice clear and concise, her eyes scanning the children to ensure they understood the rules. "The team that earns 15 points by the end of the game will win," she reiterated, her tone firm but encouraging.

The children nodded eagerly, their eyes shining with excitement as they took their positions on the court. The sun beat down on them, casting a warm glow over the scene, and the sound of seagulls filled the air.

The game began, and the children played with all their might, their laughter and shouts filling the air. After 15 minutes, the score was 7 for the boy's team and 5 for the girl's team. Aarav, the little boy, grinned triumphantly, his face flushed with excitement. "Yeah, we're going to win for sure!" he exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air.

Anaya, the little girl, pouted, her face falling as she looked at the score. But Shruti quickly reassured her, patting her head gently. "Don't give up yet, there are still 15 minutes left," she said, her voice soft and encouraging.

The game continued, and the girl's team fought hard to catch up. They worked together seamlessly, their movements fluid and coordinated. Soon, they had scored 12 points, while the boy's team had 11. Anaya cheered, her voice rising with excitement. "Yeah, girl's team will win!" she shouted, her eyes sparkling with determination.

Aarav, however, was determined to win. He looked up at Siddharth, his eyes flashing with determination. But Siddharth calmly advised him, "Calm down, buddy, we still have 5 minutes left." Siddharth's voice was soothing, and Aarav took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.

The game intensified, with both teams playing their hearts out. The ball flew back and forth, and the children ran and jumped, their movements swift and agile. When only one minute was left, the score was tied at 14-14. The tension was palpable as Shruti threw the ball and hit it.

The ball flew straight to Siddharth, who hit it and passed it to Aarav. Aarav, with all his might, hit the ball. The ball soared through the air, and everyone's eyes widened as it seemed to be heading straight to the ground. Aarav's excitement grew as he thought he was going to win. Anaya's face fell, shocked by the ball's trajectory.

But just when the ball was about to hit the ground, Shruti blocked it with her hand and threw it in the opposite direction. The ball was still in the air when the time ran out. The children gasped in surprise, their faces frozen in shock.

"It's a tie!" someone exclaimed, breaking the silence. Aarav's face fell, and he dropped to the sand, his arms and legs splayed out in disappointment. "What?! We were so close to winning!" he cried, his voice filled with frustration.

Anaya, however, was already thinking about the next step. "It can't be a tie! Let's do another match!" she said, her voice determined and her eyes sparkling with excitement. Aarav jumped up, his enthusiasm renewed. "Yeah, let's do another one!" he exclaimed, his face lighting up with anticipation.

Shruti smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Okay, fine, but let's switch teams," she suggested, her voice full of excitement. The children nodded eagerly, already looking forward to the next match. They were ready to play again, and this time, they were determined to win.

"Okay, so me and Siddharth will be the team captains," Shruti said, her voice clear and decisive. The children looked at her expectantly, waiting for her to make her team selections.

Shruti scanned the group, her eyes lingering on each child before making her decision. "I'll have these three on my team," she said, pointing at the two other girls and a guy. The children nodded, seeming to accept her choice.

But Anaya's face suddenly fell, her eyes widening in dismay. "What?! But that would make us a team!" she exclaimed, pointing at Aarav. Aarav's face also contorted in distaste, and he said, "I don't want to team up with her!"

Anaya crossed her arms, her expression stubborn. "I won't either," she said, her voice firm. The two children glared at each other, their disagreement evident.

Shruti's expression turned firm, her voice taking on a no-nonsense tone. "Okay, then we don't play anymore," she said, her words hanging in the air like a challenge.

Anaya and Aarav looked at each other, their faces scrunched up in concentration. They seemed to be trying very hard to come up with an argument, but ultimately, they felt defeated. After a moment of tense silence, they both let out a defeated sigh and said in unison, "Fine!"

Their reluctance was palpable, but they seemed to have accepted the situation. Shruti's expression softened slightly, and she nodded. "Good," she said, her voice a little gentler. "Let's get started then."

The match started again, with Shruti's team and Siddharth's team facing off against each other. Shruti had hoped that by putting Anaya and Aarav on the same team, they would learn the value of teamwork and stop fighting with each other. But as the game progressed, it became clear that her plan was not working.

Twenty minutes had passed, and the score was 12 on Shruti's team and 7 on Siddharth's. But despite the score, the game was not going smoothly. Anaya and Aarav were constantly fighting and snatching the ball from each other, their bickering disrupting the flow of the game.

Shruti's head dropped helplessly as she watched the two children argue and fight. She had never seen two kids so stubborn and unwilling to work together. She was starting to feel frustrated and defeated.

Siddharth noticed Shruti's distress and walked over to her. "Let's take a break," he said, patting her head gently. "Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.

Shruti sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and disappointment. "I don't know what to do," she said, shaking her head. "Why don't they just stop fighting and play like a team?" She looked up at Siddharth, hoping he might have some solution.

Siddharth's expression was sympathetic, and he offered her a gentle smile. "Don't take too much stress," he said. "They are just children." He watched her with a furrowed brow, his eyes filled with concern for her well-being.

The break was over, and they started the match again. But the bickering between Anaya and Aarav continued, disrupting the game and making it difficult for either team to win. A few more minutes passed, and the score was 13 on Shruti's team and 10 on Siddharth's.

Anaya's face was scrunched up in frustration as she said, "We are going to lose if it goes like this." Aarav's response was immediate and defensive. "Hmph! It's all because of you," he said, his voice rising in anger.

And with that, the bickering started again, with Anaya and Aarav arguing and fighting over every little thing. Shruti's frustration grew, and she wondered if she would ever be able to teach these two children the value of teamwork.

Just then, an idea crossed Siddharth's mind. He asked the children to come over to him, and they both walked towards him, their faces curious. "Let's make a strategy," he said, his voice filled with determination.

Aarav's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yeah, we should, or else we'll lose," he said, his voice filled with conviction.

Siddharth pointed at Shruti's team, who were playing seamlessly together. "You know why their team is scoring well?" he asked, his eyes locked on Anaya and Aarav.

Anaya's brow furrowed as she thought about the question. "Why?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

Siddharth's eyes locked on both children, his expression serious. "Because they're playing as a team and not fighting with each other," he said, his voice filled with conviction.

Aarav's face scrunched up in disagreement. "But she always starts the fight," he said, pointing at Anaya.

Anaya was about to retaliate, but Siddharth interrupted her. "See, this is what I'm talking about," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "If you both really want our team to win, you both have to play like a team, or else we'll lose."

The children looked at each other, their faces thoughtful. They seemed to be processing Siddharth's words, weighing the importance of teamwork.

When the match started again, Shruti threw the ball at them, and Anaya caught it. Aarav, who was standing near the net, shouted, "Pass the ball to me!"

Anaya was about to throw the ball to Shruti's side herself, but then she remembered Siddharth's words. She thought for a second, and then threw the ball to Aarav. Aarav, who was sure she wouldn't pass the ball to him, was surprised.

He hit the ball with all his might, and it went straight to the ground on the other side, scoring a point for their team. "Yeah!" they cheered, their voices filled with excitement.

After that, something shifted. Anaya and Aarav started helping each other instead of fighting. They worked together seamlessly, their movements fluid and coordinated.

Shruti smiled at Siddharth, and he winked at her. The match ended soon after, and Siddharth's team emerged victorious. Aarav and Anaya gave each other a high-five, jumping up and down in excitement.

For a moment, they forgot about their differences and celebrated their win together. The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie, and even Shruti and Siddharth couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two children celebrating together.

After the game, they were sitting at the beach chairs, exhausted, watching Aarav and Anaya playing together without fighting. The group they had been playing with approached them, smiling and chatting.

"Hey, it was nice meeting you both," one of the guys from the group said, extending his hand for a handshake.

Shruti smiled and shook his hand. "Same here," she said, her voice friendly.

The guy looked at Aarav and Anaya, who were laughing and playing together, and then back at Shruti and Siddharth. "You have a nice family, by the way," he said, his voice filled with admiration.

Shruti and Siddharth looked at each other and chuckled. "Oh, they're not our children," Shruti said, laughing.

The guy's expression was puzzled. "Oh? But they were so comfortable with you, and you both were handling them well," he said.

Shruti and Siddharth exchanged a glance, amused by the misunderstanding. "Well, you'll have a nice family in the future, I'm sure," the guy said, smiling, before turning to leave.

Shruti felt a blush rise to her cheeks as she thought about what the guy said. She couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious about the comment.

Just then, Siddharth turned to her and asked, "So, shall we try?"

Shruti was taken aback, her mind racing to figure out what he was talking about. "Huh? Try what?" she asked, feeling surprised and embarrassed.

Siddharth looked at her with a confused expression. "The massage," he said, as if it was obvious.

Shruti's confusion deepened. "Massage?" she repeated.

Siddharth nodded. "Yeah, the one they have at the resort. Weren't you listening?" he asked, his voice filled with amusement.

Shruti realized that she had been so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't heard a word he said. She felt embarrassed, her face growing warm.

"Yeah, let's try it," she said, trying to play it cool.

Siddharth smiled, seemingly unaware of her embarrassment. "Great," he said, standing up.

They both headed back to the resort, eager to unwind and relax. They decided to treat themselves to massages, and were led to separate rooms to enjoy the treatment.

After the massage, Shruti felt rejuvenated and refreshed. She took a shower, letting the warm water wash away any remaining tension. When she stepped out of the shower, she wrapped herself in a towel and went outside, expecting to find Siddharth waiting for her.

However, she didn't see him anywhere. "Where is he?" she murmured to herself, wondering where he could be.

Just then, a girl approached her, smiling. "Hello, ma'am, sir asked me to escort you," she said, her voice polite.

Shruti was confused, but she followed the girl anyway. The girl led her to a boutique, and Shruti's curiosity grew.

"Please wear this," the girl said, handing her a cloth bag and gently pushing her towards the changing room.

Shruti unzipped the bag and gasped in surprise. Inside, she found a gorgeous royal blue gown, elegant and stunning. She couldn't help but feel excited as she slipped into the gown.

As she admired herself in the mirror, she felt like a princess. The gown fit her perfectly, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of glamour.

When she walked out of the changing room, everyone gasped in admiration. "She looks so beautiful," one of them whispered.

The girl escorted her to the dressing table, where two makeup artists were waiting to work their magic. They transformed her, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to her already stunning features.

When she was ready, she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, feeling like a completely different person. And then, she saw Siddharth's reflection in the mirror, standing behind her.

Her face lit up, and she turned towards him, her heart skipping a beat. He walked towards her, his eyes locked on hers, and caressed her cheeks.

"As gorgeous as always," he whispered, his voice low and husky.

She blushed, feeling a flutter in her chest. He held her hand, his touch sending shivers down her spine.

"Let's go," he said, his voice filled with excitement.

She nodded, feeling a sense of anticipation and wonder.
