Hindi feature film titled ‘Gutrun Gutargun’ is social Issue based film.The story is based on lack of Sanitation in villages and preference for open defecation,a cultural issue in our society. The movie depicts day to day challenges women have to go through due to lack of toilets at home. In order to avoid embarrassment women usually have to use Public Toilet at night in the village where houses have no facilities at home.
In such a situation UGANTI, (Asmita Sharma) has to face so many problems and challenges, and her husband Shambhu (Chandreshekhar) although wants to help her yet could not help her. He was unable to cross the boundaries of village laws. At last Uganti herself found solution of her problems and for that she had to face insult and humiliation many a times. Her husband then feels her grievance and takes steps to help her by ignoring the rules of society in the village. This story attacks those policies of society where there are double standards and where women are not treated as human beings.This film consists of love between Uganti and Shambu including entertainment element and strong social message where there is inequality in gender bias and laws which women have to face and if she does not follow laws she is being insulted and humiliated a number of times. This film is produced by Asmita Sharma and brilliantlydirected By Pratik Sharma.It includes powerful dialogues and marvelous acting is done by Asmita Sharma and awesome music By Rohit Sharma and beautiful song Mann Ka chaina has become so popular and has won hearts of the people.This film was screened in Bihar, Delhi,Rajasthan and Mumbai and it had achieved huge response.It had also become Winner of Riff at Rajasthan Film Festival. This Film was released on 2nd September2016 at Patna with Jam Packed theaters and it was super hit at Patna Film Festival. This film in Rajasthan had achieved huge response and was awarded as Gutrun Gutargun with the Nation. This film was released in Rajasthan on 3rd February 2017 and achieved huge response at International Rajasthan Film Festival. Asmita Sharma was awarded best actress award in Rajasthan. Asmita Sharma and Pratik Sharma had taken this matter of lack of sanitation and done a very good task before Swatch Bharat Abhiyan was Introduced.The film has now been released on Hungama Play an OTT platform.A must watch Movie wonderfully presented.
