મધરાતે એક ચહેરો સુંદર જોવાઈ ગયો ,
ને એની આંખોમાં ઘડીક હું ખોવાઈ ગયો,

ચંદ્રથી પણ વધુ તેજ હતું એના ચહેરાનું ,
ને અવાજમાં છલકાતી હતી મધુરતા ,

પછી પરિચય તો આંખોથી જ થઈ ગયો ,
