દરિયો રખે એમ માને કે
નદી આલિંગે એને ચહુ કોરથી,
પહાડ-પથ્થર, ધરા, વૃક્ષ-વેલીમાં
અફળાતી, આળોટતી, રમતી-રમાડતી,
ને આલિંગતી બાહુપાશે પ્રણય મસ્તીમાં
ને પછી થાકી, લોથપોથ થઈ,
ઢગલો થાતી સમુદ્ર શરણે,
એના આખરી વિશ્રામે..
નદી માણે એનો પ્રેમ નિજ સફરમાં..
