Return So much I've lost, throughout my life. So much I just let go away. So much that may count up double of me. Can one please return that much to me? A lost child in a dense forest. Could not get what he needed. Bereft of love, away from warmth, he grew up. Can one please, return his childhood to him? Some stupid steps taken on soft mud, That almost swallowed the person up; Devoured all his possessions, leaving him bare alone. Can one please, return his dignity to him? A yacht with a torn sail, and with broken oars, Tossing on the waves, and may, anytime crash the shore. Besieged by an overlying whirlpool, it got wrecked. Can one please, return that courage to it? Return! Return! Please, do return! I'm not demanding anything more. Just what once belonged to me, but slipped off my hands. Can one please, return myself to me?
I didn't lose my emotions or humanity, I just grew up. Sourasikha Datta
