জীবন যেন একটা পুরনো খাতা

ঘরের কোনে পরে থাকা এক জঞ্জাল

অজস্র ধুলো, বালি, ময়লার মাঝে পরে থাকা আবর্জনা

যার প্রতিটি পাতায় রয়েছে কাটাকাটি

রয়েছে আজস্র ছুটাছুটির গল্প

রয়েছে সুদীর্ঘ চাওয়া আর না পাওয়ার বর্ণন

রয়েছে বেদনা, হতাশা, বার্থতার বিবরন

এইতো জীবন।

এই আজস্র যন্ত্রণার মাঝেই জীবন

এই চাওয়া পাওয়ার মাঝেই জীবন

মৃতুর প্রতীক্ষায় অপেক্ষমান এক সুদীর্ঘ যাত্রার বর্ণন

তারই মাঝে রয়েছে যেন ক্ষণিকের স্বস্থি

আজস্র বেদনার মাঝেও রয়েছে অল্প কিছু পাওয়ার আনন্দ

সোনামণি

আমার ছোট্ট সোনা,

আছে তার অজস্র ব্যস্ততা।

লম্বায় দু’ফুট কিংবা তিন।

ছোট্ট দুটি পায়ে এগিয়ে যায়,

নাহ সে যেন ছুটে বেড়ায়।

কখনও এদিক কিংবা সেদিক,

যেন মুহূর্তেই সারা ঘরময়।

কে আছে কোথায়, যে তাকে থামায়?

এই মায়াবী চোখের স্বপ্নীল ঝর্নাধারায়,

হবে নিশ্চয় সকলের পরাজয়।
