Women:
Hello everyone…
Not so happy with the statistics I got to read on internet today.
In fact it horrified me more than usual.
Those statistics would just horrify you as well but the discussion would help us bring the change into the world.
So I am here just to mention something which is bothering each and every women in the nation as well the remaining parts of the earth.
My article is about the current situation that a girl/lady/women face in our country (of course in the other nations as well).
Its not a matter of India, it is a matter of the entire female race.
Almost daily we come across some or the other incident of dowry death, domestic violence, exploitation, rape cases, harassment, etc., reported in newspapers or magazines. Most of these incidents or accidents are reflection of the problems still faced by women in different parts of the world specially in India.
Today our country is one of the known country for rape cases.
On an average 3-4 attempt to rape cases per week are been registered in our country.
My question is that what makes a man so desperate or what makes him to attempt to rape a girl?
Is it the dressing style of a girl or the attitude of a girl or any other reason?
About 60-65% of boys tell that its all due to her dressing almost all boys tell that if she wants to be secured then she should have been come up with proper outfit. Why does she exposes her body to everyone.
Grow up people.
Maturity rocks more than puberty.
She is a girl that doesn’t mean that she should dress up according to our thinking. She too has a right to live her dreams and dress up the way she wants.
When a lady is ready to give a birth to a child, we often ask her a question that which child she wants to introduce in this world and often the answer is a boy child. All women tell that she wants a prince and not princess.
Has anyone ever wondered why she wants to give birth to a prince and not a princess????
Every one of us think the reason why she wants to give birth to a prince is just because she wants to expand her generation and all, but that’s not the real reason.
In fact it is not a reason but just an excuse they hide from us.
Recently I had asked a lady who is going to give birth to a baby and yes she told that she wants to give birth to a baby boy and so I was busy wondering why ?
Asking her the reason for giving a birth to a prince made me feel guilty but I gathered a bit of courage and went ahead.
The answer from a married housewife to a youngster was “you will not understand it”
I did take a guess and out a deep thought i just got into the probablity of assuming this…
I think she is SCARED.
Scared of everything she faces everyday… In her way to college.. In the bus, in the train.. Everywhere… Being teased, touched, harassed… Only a girl or a woman knows how it feels to live in this kind of insecure feelings every moment.. From the very first day of her puberty when she became conscious about her body…From the day her mother asked to wear her that “dupatta” , till the day she becomes a “old lady”… in the meantime she has to suffer and survive…survive From her relative who tried to sexually harass her when she was 8…from the guys of a nearby club who keeps teasing her day n night… From the daily passengers who tries to feel her flesh.. From the ministers who feels that by wearing some kinds of clothes she is provoking men to rape her…from everyone…
She is not just a piece of meat.. She is much more than that.. Much more than her clothes.. Much more than her body.. N u r much more than that also.. Dont objectify her.. I’m not telling you to not look at women. Just the opposite. I’m telling you to see women. Really see them. Not just with your eyes, but with your heart. Don’t look to see something that tickles your senses, but see a human being. A woman’s body is beautiful and wonderful and mysterious. Respect it by respecting her as an individual with hopes and dreams and experiences and emotions and longings. Because in the end, all they want is a life Without fear of being judged, or shamed, or condemned, or objectified, or being treated as other. Women are not weaker than men. They are not the weaker sex. They are the other sex. Protect them.. Respect them.
“IF YOU WILL RESPECT A WOMEN, THE WORLD WILL RESPECT YOU”
“BE A KIND OF A MAN YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR SISTER TO BE WITH”
And also to each and every lady I request you to be brave enough to give birth to a princess and make them strong enough to fight back with the situation which you are facing and give all the boys a damn hard reason to let her live in this world.
It would be bad on my part to expect things from the world.
But I am courageous enough to keep my hopes high and have a kind of a faith that I would live long enough to see this permanent problem having a permanent solution for the life time within the entire human race.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
If problems start from your end then surely the solutions have a way out from your end.
And if problems don’t start from your end,
Fortunately we are gifted with two lovely eyes to notice the wrong and unjust and a beautiful heart and will to fight for the right.
Good luck!
