She knew he was in the fields and she came out of the house and went into the mango tope. She enquired one labourer who came across her where Vineet was and he said to her his location then. Then sun shining was scorching but she slowly walked to the place where Vineet was. He was there making the labourers to do some work. Seeing Sukanya there so, he fastly came nearer to her.

“Why did you have come in this heat? See how much sweat on you now?” looking at her angrily Vineet said.

“You too in the same heat now. It troubles you too as much as it troubles me.” Sukanya said.

“Stop. I have accustomed to this but not you are. Just go into the tope and wait there. I shall come there in half an hour or so.” Vineet said.

“No. You must come with me now itself. I want to say something very important to you.” Sukanya said.

“Then tell me what it is here itself.” Vineet asked her.

She nodded her head in negation. “No, I cannot say this to you here itself. You must come with me. I shall tell you about that in the farm-house. Farm-house is the best place than the tope.”

He wanted to say something to her but he had seen the seriousness in her face and nodded his head. “Alright. Come then.”

It had taken ten minutes to them to reach the farm-house. Vineet opened the lock first, then the doors of the farm-house and both of them entered into it. Straight they did go into the bedroom. As soon as they made their entry into it, Sukanya hugged him strongly and kissed on his lips.

“We are not going to do that again until our marriage is over.” Vineet firmly said.

Sukanya laughed and said “I did not take you here for that.”

“Then what it is tell me?” Her behavior was appearing surprising to him.

She kissed on his lips again and said “Soon I am going to give you father status.”

“I cannot understand.” He was really in confusion.

“You never can understand anything easily.” She smiled and loosened her hold around him and looked into his eyes. “You are going to become a father in nine months. That means I am pregnant now.”

At once he detached her from him and looked into her face with horror filled eyes. “My God! We have not been married yet!”

“Of course. But the baby making mechanism in my womb not concerned with that fact.” Sukanya said.

“Are you going to bear it till the end? Would you give the birth to the child?” with a shivering tone Vineet asked her.

Sukanya slapped him with her right hand on his right cheek. “What you are thinking? How dare you to say so? It is my baby. I shall have it in all respects. I am not going to bother about what the other people do think or talk about.”

The firmness in her voice made his mouth locked. He knew the adamancy of her. In fact he too was feeling joyous knowing the truth that she was bearing the child of him.

He held her gently in his hands and took her near to him and kissed on the back part of her left year. He felt her skin there smooth and good to his lips. “How we are going to manage this dear?” He asked her in a small voice.

“You just don’t worry. Leave it to me and I will manage.” Relinquishing his grip around her and going a little away from him she said “I just want to share this good news with you so I have come all this way.  I think I better go back now.”

“I shall come with you to home.” Vineet said.

“No I can go. I am not a small child.” The happiness in his face was making her even more happy.

“You are a pregnant now and having my baby in your womb. What would be the problem if I accompany you?” he asked her with a frown.

“Vineet it is very early stage now and you need not start worrying this extreme from now itself.” She smiled.

“It is alright then. But be very careful. Don’t do overwork at all.” he kissed on her cheek and said.

“You would not stop your pranks if I stay here like this.” she started moving away from there. She went out of the farm-house “Come early to the home in the evening.” Before going considerable distance away from him she said.

“Alright. I shall.” He said.

Madan had seen Susmitha going out of the house and immediately there was a curiosity in him to know where she was going. He too came out of the house and started following her.  She was walking on the road, straight, without bothering with anything. Some people were greeted her but she did not bother to greet anyone. Her manner was quite surprising to Madan. Mamatha has taken over her, no doubt, he thought.

She straight went into the tope. To that particular tree where she said she had seen Mamatha. Madan as well followed her discreetly, quite carefully not to be found by her and hid behind a tree. It seemed that she was waiting for someone. Whom she was waiting like that for? He surprised in himself.

Nagaraju came to that place as she was waiting so. Madan surprised a lot. What Nagraju has to do with this all?

“Why did you have come?” there was irritation in his voice.

“You know why I have come here.” She said.

He nodded his head. “But I did not expect you here now.” He said. “I have seen you coming here and so I too did come.”

“Those people are trying to expel me from this body.” she said.

Madan was listening quite carefully.

“I don’t want to leave this body. I want to be with him all the time.” She again said.

“But it is not possible to you to possess this body all the time. It is not yours.” Nagaraju said.

“But…” she tried to say something more but in the meanwhile Nagaraju said. “You may better leave it as soon as possible. Otherwise they may once again try to seal you in a bottle or pot. This time they may take a real and capable exorcist.”

“But I loved him so much. I am still in love with him a lot even after…..”

“But you were dead are not you?” Nagaraju cut her in the middle. “A dead person will have no rights on a living human being.”

“It is quite unjustifiable.” It seemed that she did not know what to say more.

“I talked with him” Nagaraju said. “I shall talk with him again. I see that he would agree to that. You must compromise.”

She turned back and started walking.

“There is no way. You have to agree to this.” on the back of her Nagaraju said.

As soon as Susmitha went away from there, Madan came before Nagaraju. There was surprise in the face of Nagaraju on seeing Madan there.

“You were here all the time?” he asked.

“Yes. And I have heard what you both have talked.” Madan said. “What is that you are saying that she has to agree?” he asked him.

Nagaraju nodded his head helplessly. “It seems that she may not agree to that also.”

“First tell me what is it?” there was curiosity in Madan.

“I have said to her that you would give it to her occasionally and she should be in the body of Susmitha only that time. In the other times she should leave her completely.”

“I cannot understand it fully.” Madan said.

“I know that she wants it so desperately from you. So I have made a proposal with her. That you would give it to her sometimes and she would be allowed to be present in Susmitha’s body only then. In other times she must not enter into her body at all.” Nagaraju explained.

“I cannot allow her in Susmitha’s body even occasionally either.” Madan said. He understood what was that he should give to her.

“What you can do if she settled permanently in Susmitha’s body itself?” Nagaraju asked him. “First let her agree to this. Then we shall find a way out to make her go completely away from Susmitha.”

Madan thought on that and the proposal appeared agreeable to him. He nodded his head in agreement.

“You may better talk this with her now. If you say this she sure agrees to it.”   Nagaraju said.

Madan nodded his head again. “Why she has come all the way to talk to you?” with a frown he asked.

“I am her cousin. She may not love me but I am more than a friend to her.”

“Why did you go into the mango tope?” when Madan reached home he asked Susmitha.

“That means you have followed me all the way to there.” There was accusation in her voice. So still Mamatha was in her body, he thought.

“Yes I did.” Looking into her face Madan said. There was no change in it. She was appearing just like Susmitha.

She did not say anything but remained silent. It was 7.00 in the evening. One hour or so before they both went into the mango tope.

“Nagaraju talked with me about the proposal he made with you.” Madan said in a small voice.

“But that is not agreeable at all to me. I want you all the time.” The firmness in her voice  was intimidating to him.

“Mamatha… I know you loved me a lot. It was my mistake that I did not accept your love then. Unfortunately you were dead and I have fallen in love with another girl. Not just me, another innocent girl as well is suffering a lot because of your adamancy.”

Susmitha looked sharply into his face.

“I don’t want to anger you. But better we come to an agreement which is suitable to three of us.” He paused for a moment looking into her face. He did not know how to say that. “I give it to you whenever you want. But in the other times you must not be in Susmitha’s body.”

Susmitha picked her lover lip into her teeth frames and closed her eyes. It seemed she had fallen in thought. It appeared that she was thinking about the proposal.

“Please Mamatha. You said that you are in love with me. For me you must agree to this.” taking her right hand into his hands and squeezing it gently,  Madan said.

Susmitha opened her eyes, released her lip and looked into his face. After few seconds she said “For you, only for you, I am agreeing to this. But don’t think I am agreeing to it only for sex.”

“No. Never. I never think like that.” His heart leaped with happiness.

“Alright then.” She nodded her head.

Madan kissed on her lips.

Jayanthi, Sukanya and Mangaveni were in Sukanya’s room. The doors of the room were closed.

“We are thinking to perform Susmitha and Madan’s marriage as soon as possible. We thought it is not better to let unmarried couple under one roof in such nearness.” Jayanthi said. “Yesterday I and your son in law talked about this. You must stay until the marriage is over.”

“What you have said is right. But you people are doing lot of injustice to Madan. He cannot be happier with that mad girl.” Mangaveni said.
