Chasing butterflies …….

(A spicy hot romantic and suspense thriller)

By

Kotra Siva Rama Krishna

“How you are going to interpret the last night’s incident?” Madan’s voice was uneasy and Sukanya sat in the chair in his room while he sat on the edge of the double cot.

“Just her involuntary imagination. She subjected to a hallucination. Nothing more than that.” Sukanya replied.

“Why she is imagining like this?”

“Mind is a very complex thing Madan.” Leaning back into the chair she said. “Why it does imagine in a specific way we cannot easily explain. She is feeling fear for something very much. I think because of that fear she is behaving like this.”

“You are a psychologist. You are observing Susmitha for some days continuously. But still you cannot solve the problem.” Madan accusingly said.

“Madan, please. Try to understand. Sometimes a problem may come fast even without our notice. But solving it or getting rid of it takes so much time and lots of patience. I am trying to understand as fully as possible.” She paused for a moment and looked straight into his face. Even he was talking like that his confidence on Sukanya was not wavered and it was being expressed in his face.

“But when, when can we get a solid solution to this problem?”

She could understand the impatience and irritation in his voice. “It may take time. I am on that work ….” She tried to say something more.

“No Sukanya. I cannot bear any of this. At first I cannot bear the thought that my Susmitha is facing a psychological problem like this.” The impatience had increased in his voice.

“But what we can do?” remained staring straight into the face of him she asked severely. “I am here and on that work exclusively and it is my promise to you that I make her completely normal. Just put trust in me.” She said maintaining her voice firm.

He did not say anything but remained silent. The distressing and pathetic expression in his face was troubling her. She stood up and went near to him. She took his right hand into her hands and gripped it with them.

“Madan, I am promising you. It is my responsibility to make Susmitha hundred percent normal. I have that confidence in me. Just have belief in me. I like you so much. You are my good friend and seeing you troubling, worrying me a lot. Just have faith on me.”

He instantly noticed her stronger wish to cure Susmitha in her firm and steady voice. The genuineness in her eyes was unmistakable. He really felt quite assured and happy on her committing like that. “I am having full faith on you. Don’t think that I doubt your skill just because of my asking you like this. But you know…………” there was considerable relief in his voice.

“I can understand. But try to be quite happy and cheerful as usual. Try to be good with Susmitha too.” leaving his hand and slumping herself into the chair going near to it again Sukanya said.

“Alright.” Madan nodded his head.

“There is one more very important thing I want to say to you.” The sudden sharpness in her voice made him attentive once again.

“What it is?” his face clouded once again with anxiety with the fear of thinking what might she would say.

“Don’t show any irritation or anger on Susmitha. Try to be so as if you do believe everything she is saying. Especially you must do like this. It is very important.”

“Alright.” After brooding on that for few seconds Madan said.

One minute or so passed silently between them both then.

“I think your relation with Vineet is becoming more and more strong.” Looking into her face Madan said changing the topic.

“Yes, of course.” Her face was blushed lightly with shame. “I told him that I am in love with him.”

“Good. You did a very nice thing.” There was full approval in his voice. “He has very good character. In fact you are more fortunate by choosing him so.”

“Susmitha as well supported me like this.” Sukanya said. “I have already said this to you.”

“She and I are thinking in a common way.” He said “Atleast in this matter.”

“She and you are sharing so many common features. Like straightforwardness, open heart and trying to be pleasant to others. That is why you both have become lovers.” Sukanya said.

“You are praising us both so much.” Madan said.

“I never praise anyone. I just talk whatever I heartfully feel.”

“Alright then. How your sister is going to take your love with Vineet?” he frowned his forehead.

“You know my sister very well. She knows me and likes me a lot. At the same time she likes Vineet even more. She sure agrees with this.” the confidence was clear in her tone.

“I hundred percent agree with your opinion regarding this.” he nodded his head. “But how your mother is going to react when she comes to know about this?”

Sukanya’s face was filled with fear instantly. “There I am feeling fear a lot. You know about her very well. She never does approve my marriage with Vineet. What type of clamor she creates once she knows about it putting me on lot of uneasiness.”

“Don’t feel that much fear. I know how to deal with her and make her calm. Just have confidence in me.”

The confidence in his voice made Sukanya feel surprised and happier. “Really you can do that? If you do so I shall feel quite happy. But she is my mother. You don’t know her as much as I know. She never agrees my marriage with a low profile person like Vineet.” There came despair in her voice again.

“I may not know about her as much as you do but I know exactly what her weakness and how to deal with it. Leave it just to me. It is my promise to you to see your marriage be performed with Vineet. Don’t ask any more questions.”

She laughed heartily and said. “I am not a fool. Why do I ask any more questions? I just want an assurance like this from someone and you gave it to me. My good sweet Madan.”

Madan’s promise kept Sukanya in good spirits later on also. Now she had got hundred percent confidence that she could marry Vineet. The very idea that she was going to share her life with him filling her heart with unknown pleasure. She was surprising herself why she was feeling that much happiness just at the thought of Vineet. It was a little distressing and despairing as well to her why despite being a psychologist she could not understand herself.

She went into the mango tope and fields to find him again. In fact she strongly decided in herself not to go in search for him but her heart did not let her stay at home peacefully at all without seeing him, so reluctantly she went there again.

As she went near to the farm-house she just remembered the day how she and Vineet shared their bodies in it. It filled her heart with that sweet pleasure again which she had felt on that day. How romantic that brute was! She thought in herself. He almost killed her with pleasure. Still she could remember how he appeared to her after undressed himself completely.

It was becoming difficult to her to be normal. Her body was craving for that pleasure again but she decided in herself firmly that she would not allow it again to happen until their marriage was over. Even she said so to Susmitha, even she was consciously not much orthodox and traditional, some subconscious moral conscience urging her not to do that mistake again before marriage. There was a purpose in tempting him so and made him enjoy her like that on that day. She did so to make him move freely with her later on. She made him do it to her only to remove the distance between them and she had got hundred percent success in that. Any more such type of things between them should happen only after marriage.

By then she had completely forgotten about his affair with the auditor’s wife in the past.

“What you are doing here?”

As she was fully indulged in thinking she startled on hearing it and turned back. There stood her sweet Vineet with a smile on his face.

“I have come here while searching for you. Where you have vanished on the earth?” she flared her nostrils heavily as she breathed deeply.

“I am in my work. I am not accustomed to waste my time idly.”

“So you think I waste my time like this? Now itself I go back.” She turned back to go.

“Please.” He immediately took her right hand into his hands and squeezed it gently. “Don’t go. Shall we go into the farm- house again?” he asked her with a mischievous smile.

She felt happier for the nearness he was feeling now towards her. “For what?” she asked him.

“For what else? We can talk in that.” He said with the same mischiveousness.

But she found the desire in his eyes and it was not at all his fault. It was the time to make the point quite clear to him. “See Vineet, I offered myself so to you the other day only to make you realize how sincere I am in my love with you. Nothing like that shall happen again until our marriage is performed. Is it is clear to you?” She made a straight and forceful look into his eyes.

“It is quit unjustifiable. I did not even mention any of that.” There was hurt in his face.

She took his right hand into hers, took it to her mouth and kissed on that. “You cannot betray me. I have seen the desire in your eyes. Once tasting that its quite natural our body asks it again and again but we have to control it. It is becoming difficult to me too but it is not going to happen again between us before our marriage.” She firmly said.

“I agree hundred percent to that.” There was commitment in his eyes now. “If it is so leave my hand. Your touching me so tempting me for that.”

She left his hand and said. “We may better talk while walking in the fields. I hope that I would not be an impediment or disturbance to your work.”

“Not at all. All that work can be done later without any loss.” he smiled.

They have started walking. While walking he came across labourers and he ordered  and told them what to be done in the fields, where and how. He had good command over all the labour force but it was not surprised her. The politeness and kindness he was maintaining with them was impressed her. Even though not educated much, Vineet had got the culture of an educated man. She felt happier thinking that she did not choose a wrong man as her life-mate.

“The days ahead are going to be critical for Madan.” She said. “He is feeling quite uneasy for the condition Susmitha is now in.”

“But what anyone else can do?” he stopped and looked into her face. “He has got all this onto himself. If he had not been that much ruthless to her on that day….” He stopped.

“Cannot we stop any of this?” she knitted her brows and asked.

“Can we? Just think. It shall become worse if we try to stop it.” He said “You know very well about that.”

“We have to find the solution as fast as possible.”
