Chasing butterflies …….

(A spicy hot romantic and suspense thriller)

She continued hugging him strongly while he was chewing her lip gently. There was no gap left in their two bodies then and her breasts were mercilessly crushed by his massive chest. He slowly left her lip and let his tongue go into her mouth which he felt lukewarm around his tongue. How long he enjoyed the kiss so he did not remember but when he has withdrawn he started showering kisses all over her face and she did not relinquish her grip around him even a little all the time.

He ran his left hand again down her hip to enjoy the glassiness of her buttocks and she unintentionally widened the gap between her thighs as she did the last time and a sort of pleasure swept all over her body while his hand exploring the canal between her two buttocks. How far they would go if they were allowed they did not know but they had to be separated hastily hearing some footsteps nearby. It was such a place not many people to come and Madan irritatingly turned back. Vineet stood behind him. The expression on his face was telling them that he had seen enough that just had gone in between them both.

“What is the matter?” trying to cover his irritation and smearing his face with a smile Madan asked.

“Someone has come to meet you from town. You need to come home.” Observing them both with keen eyes Vineet said.

“Who it is?” Madan asked him with surprise. Who wanted to meet him at a time like that? It would soon become dark.

“Don’t worry. It is not another girl.” with a sneer in his face Vineet said. “Auditor has come. He needs to finalize our accounts with your help and association.”

Suddenly there was lot of disappointment in Madan’s face and he turned and looked at Susmitha. In no time after the separation of the bodies Susmitha adjusted herself to usual. “There is no way. We both must go home now.” He said reluctantly.

“I stay here for some more time. I shall come later.” Susmitha said.

“It is not good to stay in this tope alone.” Madan warned her.

“I am not a small baby. I can come home later and you both better go.”

Seeing the strong resolve in her face and voice Madan nodded his head. “If the work finished fast, I shall come here again. Otherwise you have to come home all by yourself.”

Susmitha with a small smile said “I know the way very well. I saw it three times. Don’t worry for me at all.”

“But don’t let it too dark.” Madan said while throwing a warning through his eyes.

“I agree. I come home before the day comes to a full end.”

Madan and Vineet left that place then leaving her all alone there.

It had taken time with the auditor longer than he had expected to Madan. By the time the discussions and necessary works finished it had become completely dark and Madan started feeling anxiety as Susmitha did not return to home yet.

“Why she is still in the tope? I shall go and take her back.” Madan said with Vineet with a tinge of anxiousness in his voice.

“May I too come with you?” Vineet asked him. He too was feeling anxious as Susmitha not returned even by then.

“You need not. Be with the auditor until he moves away. Otherwise he may think different.” After saying that Madan did not wait there at all and walked fast towards the mango tope.

It was indeed more than one hour after he had left Susmitha in that tope. What she was doing all this time he could not understand. There was nothing to feel fear there except for the dangerous snakes occasionally came across but he did not like the thought that Susmitha was there all alone in the night time.

He almost ran to the spot where he left Susmitha. By the time he reached there, Susmitha stood up and looking at the top of a mango tree as if there was something peculiar. Her pale expressionless face created anxiety in Madan. It was the third day after the full moon night and everything was clearly visible to him in moonshine which was penetrating enough into that place. His knees shivered a little with fear.

He went near to her, clutched her both shoulders with his hands and jolted her heavily. “Susmitha what you are looking at? Why did not you have returned to home yet?” his voice sounded peculiar to himself. It shivered with fear. He was indeed feeling excitement while looking at her so.

It had worked to some extent and she came out of that trance but the fear was not relieved from her face. She blankly looked into his face as if she did not understand anything at all.

“Susmitha, I am asking you, why you are still here? Why did not you have come home before it is this much dark? What happened to you? Why you are like this?” his anxiousness reached its motto.

“My….what happened?” she first said confusedly. Then she suddenly hugged him and started weeping as if something struck her. “Madan… Madan… She has come to me….. She has come before me from the top of this mango tree….She…..” between sobs she was trying to say something.

“She means who? Who has come to you?” Madan was in full confusion. He could not understand anything at all.

“Mamatha ….. Mamatha……has come to me.   From the top of the mango tree she jumped before me.” Susmitha could not control her weeping.

“How she can come from the top of the mango tree? Any human being can come like that?” in his fear and anxiety too Madan got irritated on hearing that.

Susmitha stopped weeping momentarily and looked into the face of Madan with those fear stricken eyes.

“She is no more a human being. She was dead and became a spirit.” With a shivering tone she said.

“She became a spirit! And jumped before you from the top of the mango tree! Do you know how senselessly you are talking?” Looking into her eyes straight Madan said.

“But…..” Susmitha tried to say something.

“Alright….” Madan breathed deeply. “We shall first go home and then talk everything out.”

Susmitha nodded her head. Then Madan led her quite fast all the way to home from there.

“Now tell me everything in detail. We are in our home. In your room. You need not feel any fear. Nothing can do any harm to you.” Making her settle on the bed and sitting opposite to her in a chair Madan said.

“I am not feeling fear for myself. I am feeling fear for you. She said that she would take you with her.” once again her eyes clouded with fear.

“No one can take me with him or her without my consent. First tell me what happened?” trying to make his voice soft Madan asked. The way of Susmitha’s talking was irritating to him.

“Once you both have left me there so, I were of the opinion to wander all over the tope and see everything. I am just about to move away from that place then she jumped before me from the top of that mango tree with a thud.” Her eyes became widen with fear.

“Don’t feel fear.” Placing his right hand firmly on her shoulder Madan said. “Just tell me plainly what happened.”

“That is what I am doing.” She paused a moment before continuing.  “I did not know who she was. But I could understand it was not a human being at all as it jumped from the top of the mango tree like that. While I was looking at her fear stricken, she started talking,

‘Have not you recognized me? You both have talked about me the day before yesterday.” She smiled. But there was anger and hate in her face and eyes.

‘Mamatha….’ I guessed who she could be and said.

‘Exactly. I am Mamatha. Your lover’s lover.’ She smiled again. Her eyes were very red like pieces of burning coal.

“How did you have come from the top of the mango tree?’ I just didn’t know how I could manage to talk like that. In fact my mind numbed with fear.

‘I have started residing there recently. So I came from there.’

‘How it is possible? How anyone can live on the top of a mango tree?’ I asked.

‘It may not be possible to live like that to a human being. But it is sure possible to a devil.’ She said.

‘That means you were dead!’ I have asked her.

‘No I was murdered. Your lover has thrown me into the river’ she said.

I felt fear after hearing what she had said. Involuntarily I had looked at her feet. There were no feet to her. She was floating in the air. My heart missed a beat. But I composed myself.

‘You are telling lies. You have fallen yourself accidentally into the river. Madan did not throw you into it.’ I could manage to say that even my heart was filled with dreading fear.

‘It is he who is telling lies. He has thrown me into the river so I was dead. I am not going to leave him in peace.’ She was so angry. I felt very much fear. I did not know what to say to her.

‘Tell him that I would not leave him at all. I shall take him with me. I will take revenge on him’ saying this she went onto the top of the mango tree again’

She stopped saying but the effect was still on her. She was trembling slightly and her eyes became wide with fear.

“We are at home. She cannot come here at all. Stop feeling fear.” Taking her right hand into his both hands Madan said. The feeling in her face and eyes was quite genuine. She was worrying for him, for his safety. The irritation in him was vanished and its place was filled with pity. Her hand was smooth in his hands and he squeezed it a little as if to give courage so to her but that did not work.

“Madan I am feeling fear. Not for me but for you. She so specifically said that she would take you with her and take revenge on you. She appeared capable to do like that. She jumped from the top of the mango tree and go onto it again.” Her voice shivered and palms turned into fists while saying that.

“Just stop.” The pity in him once again replaced with angry and irritation. ‘Despite being an educated woman how could she talk like that?’ thinking so, his irritation was increasing. Madan did not want to be angry with her but he could not control himself. “In which age we are living Susmitha, tell me? You are an educated and intelligent girl. How you do believe in devils?”

“If it is not a devil, what else then? Can any human being live on the top of a mango tree? Can any human being float in the air? Can anyone jump from a mango tree like that? I too never believed in devils and related matters. But circumstances are forcing me to believe them.” a little anger pooled up in her too.

Madan could not think of what to say to her then. If he would say anything against her just built belief, she would sure be hurt and get irritated. At the same time he could not allow such type of false beliefs develop in her. Anyhow he had decided not to argue with her on that matter anymore then.

“Don’t discuss this matter with anyone at dinner. Take rest peacefully in the night. We shall think again about everything early in the morning.” Making his voice calm and steady Madan said.

“You do not believe in me, do you?” with an accusing look aimed at him she asked.
