The Pencil’s New Notebook
Once upon a time, on a quiet table in a bright, sunny room, sat a lonely little pencil. The pencil was thin and sharp, with a small pink eraser at the top. But today, the pencil looked very sad. There was nothing for it to do. No notebook lay open for it to write or draw in. It felt empty and lonely. The pencil loved to draw pictures and write stories, but without a notebook, it could do nothing. It just sat there, staring at the blank table, wishing for something fun to happen.
Nearby, on the same table, sat a friendly blue pen. The pen had a shiny cap and a smooth tip that could write words beautifully. The pen noticed the little pencil sitting quietly and looking very sad. The pen thought, “Why does the pencil look so lonely today? It always loves to draw and write, but now it seems unhappy. I want to help.” The pen tapped its tip on the table thoughtfully. Then, a bright idea came to mind. The pen remembered an old notebook lying in the corner of the room. It was slightly worn, but its pages were clean and waiting to be used.
The pen smiled and picked up the old notebook carefully. Then, it walked over to the pencil with a gentle and kind expression. “Hello, little pencil,” said the pen. “I see you are feeling sad today. I have something that might make you happy.” The pencil looked up, surprised, and saw the pen holding the notebook. Its eyes widened, but it didn’t say anything yet.
“Here,” said the pen, offering the notebook, “this notebook is yours now. You can draw and write to your heart’s content. Don’t feel lonely anymore.” The pencil felt a warm feeling in its little wooden heart. It gently took the notebook, holding it tightly. The pencil’s eyes sparkled, and a smile appeared on its face. It felt loved and happy. For the first time that day, it forgot all about feeling lonely.
The pencil opened the notebook carefully. Its pages were smooth and clean, waiting for new stories and pictures. The pencil picked up its sharp tip and started drawing colorful shapes. Circles, squares, flowers, and even a little house appeared on the pages. With every stroke, the pencil’s happiness grew. It laughed quietly, enjoying the pleasure of creating something beautiful. The pen watched happily, knowing that its small act of kindness had made a big difference.
As the pencil continued drawing, other pencils on the table noticed it. They were curious about what the little pencil was doing. Slowly, one by one, they came closer. They saw the joy and creativity that filled the notebook. The pages were full of bright colors, cheerful drawings, and playful designs. The other pencils couldn’t help but smile. They wanted to join in the fun too.
The little pencil saw its new friends approaching and felt excited. “Would you like to draw with me?” it asked politely. The other pencils nodded eagerly. The pencil opened the notebook wide, sharing its space with everyone. Then, it shared some crayons that lay nearby. Red, blue, yellow, and green crayons were handed to each pencil. Soon, all the pencils started drawing together. They made pictures of trees, butterflies, houses, animals, and even happy suns with big smiles. The room was filled with laughter, colors, and happiness.
The pen watched everything with pride. It had given the notebook to the little pencil, and now, so many pencils were enjoying themselves. The pen realized something important: giving to others could make them truly happy, and that happiness could spread to everyone around. A small act of kindness could bring smiles and laughter that lasted a long time.
Hours passed, and the pencils had drawn many beautiful pictures. The little pencil looked at the colorful pages and felt proud. The notebook was no longer empty or lonely. It was filled with art, fun, and friendship. The pencil turned to the pen and waved. “Thank you for giving me this notebook,” it said warmly. “You made my day very special. I am happy and not lonely anymore.”
The pen smiled back. “I am glad you are happy,” it said softly. “Remember, sharing and giving can make the world a better place. I am proud of you for spreading joy with your friends.” The little pencil nodded, feeling grateful and loved.
Soon, it was time to say goodbye. The pen had to return to its own corner on the table. The little pencil hugged the notebook and waved again. “I will always remember your kindness,” said the pencil. “I will share and create happiness with my friends every day.” The pen walked back slowly, smiling, knowing that it had done something very special.
The pencils continued to draw and laugh together. They realized that sharing ideas, colors, and creativity could make every day fun. Even the smallest pencil could inspire joy in others. And it all started with one kind act from a friend.
From that day on, the little pencil never felt lonely again. It knew that friends could make even ordinary days magical. It also learned that happiness grows when it is shared. The notebook was always full of new drawings, and the pencil always shared crayons with friends who wanted to join in. The pen continued to watch happily from its place, proud that it had helped someone find joy.
And so, the little pencil learned a very important lesson. It realized that giving and sharing could fill not only notebooks but hearts with happiness. Even a small gift could brighten someone’s whole day. Kindness was like magic—it could turn sadness into laughter and loneliness into friendship.
From that day on, the pencil and the pen stayed good friends. They always helped each other and encouraged others to share and care. The pencils on the table became a happy group, drawing together every day, laughing, and enjoying the colorful world they created with imagination and love.
Moral of the Story:
A small act of kindness can make someone truly happy. Sharing and giving not only bring joy to others but also fill our hearts with love and happiness.
