Mafia's Obsession : The Cop - 4

To say Eryx was lucky would be an understatement, because how in the world had he managed to see the same angel continuously in the past two days was something else. And he knew exactly what it was.
Destiny.

And no way in hell he was going to miss this opportunity. So he did the first thing that came into his mind, he walked right up to the angel he will claim soon enough and sat in front of her.

As expected she looked perfect, her clothes were a little baggy but she was all in black yet again. Her beautiful light brown eyes were shining in the sunlight that made her look heavenly.

But for once Eryx felt a smirk forming on his face when he saw the slight red hue that spread over the girl's cheeks. She was shy. She tucked one side of her long hair behind her ear and looked around awkwardly.

Cute.

Alina was dying right now, first of all she couldn't look at the man in the eye because those intense eyes were making her melt in her seat. She tried her best to not give off too much but couldn't do anything when her body decided to betray and she blushed.

The man in front of her was the definition of handsome so her state was pretty fair.
Finally gaining some strength she looked up front at the male who chuckled looking at her facial expressions.

When Alina looked up with those wide eyes, she looked like a deer in the headlights to Eryx, which made him chuckle.

"What's so funny? Is there something on my face?" ALINA asked creasing her eyebrows, but still noticing how the man's lips turned into an enticing boxy smile.

Eryx almost groaned at the melodious voice. He knew for a fact that this would be his favourite voice to listen to from now on.
"Nothing. But there is something on your face though." He replied leaning back on his chair, the smirk still present.

Alina looked seriously concerned now, she put up her hands and checked her face through them,
"What?" She asked with big bambi eyes looking at Eryx.

Who had almost cooed out loud at the expression but stopped himself and cheekily replied, "Beauty."
Now that made Alina annoyed and she glared at the male, but her cheeks of course said otherwise.

To Eryx, Alina just looked like an angry bunny.

"Why are you here?" ALINA asked trying to avoid those intimidating eyes.
"To see you of course." Eryx replied still staring at her with fond eyes. He had leaned forward and had his head on his palm and an elbow on the table.

"I don't remember calling you. Hell I don't even know you." Alina replied sassily. She crossed her arms at her chest and tried to look tough.

"Well let's change that shall we? Hi, My name is Eryx Vantae, it's nice to meet you little bunny." Eryx replied not even realising what he just did.

Alina looked at him skeptically,
"First of all i am not little, second my name is not little bunny!" Alina said pouting.

"Well it's not my fault you know, you didn't exactly tell me your name."

Alina groaned lowly and looked at Eryx with angry eyes challenging him, to which Eryx just stared at him still smiling.
And Alina just knew that this man isn't gonna give up so with a sigh he replied, "Alina Walker."

"Okay so Alina Walker, that's a pretty name just like you, but i still prefer the other name. But honestly though why so defensive little bunny?" Eryx said and Alina looked at him and then at her coffee.

She did kind of like the company of the other though, the man was very handsome and gave this comfortable aura. No matter how much she tried there was no reason to dismiss him.

"Am sorry, i tend to get defensive around new people. But it's nice to meet you too Eryx Vantae." Alina said smiling and Eryx swore he could have died right there and then. Because this time she was smiling at him, not anyone else but him, and that alone was the best feeling ever.

"It's okay. I get it. So wanna have coffee with me?" Eryx asked softly.
Honestly he himself was surprised at his odd behaviour. It was like this was a completely different person. He rarely ever smiled but this little bunny had managed to make him not only smile but chuckle too.

Alina picked up the cup of coffee on the table and showed it to him,
"Too late to ask."

Eryx didn't even realise when his own lips turned into a slight pout looking at the coffee. He didn't even realise the adorable smile Alina gave when she saw how innocent he looked glaring at the cup.

"You can always buy me another drink you know, I don't like coffee anyway." Alina said to which Eryx's face immediately lit up and he called the waiter.

"Definitely, so what would you like, little bunny?" He asked as the waiter approached them.

"A banana milk would do." She replied cutely and Eryx mentioned the waiter to get it as soon as possible.

"So tell me about yourself adorable little bunny?" Eryx asked.

"Aren't you too straightforward? We clearly just met and you're already flirting!" Alina said genuinely curious.

"Can't help it you know, when--" he cut himself off when suddenly Alina's eyes went wide towards a particular direction.
She had just roamed her eyes around to avoid looking at the intense amber gaze. But her own eyes went wide when she realised the guy she was spying on was now standing at the door of the cafe about to leave, still stealing glances at her. And the second their eyes met, both of them stood up.

As soon as Alina stood up so did Eryx in confusion. And as soon as she stood up the blond head ran out of the cafe which of course made Alina run out as well which then of course made Eryx run after him.

"Alina?" Eryx yelled as he was confused why  she was running after the man like her life depended on him.

"Stop before it's too late. I knew you were more than just an eye witness, I will catch you today." Alina shouted and ran even faster.

Eryx was trying to catch up to Alina's speed but it was almost impossible, because she was way too fast and surprisingly even the blond head was pretty fast too.
But when he heard that a sudden realisation hit him.

Alina was a cop.

"Great just fucking great!" He muttered to himself, his speed getting slower. The one person he decides to fall for ends up being a cop. He could see his fears over taking him as he slowed down.

Alina's figure going far from him. His heart was screaming at him to just forget everything and go after her but his mind said otherwise.

Suddenly he didn't realise what happened, he saw the blond head throw something he had picked up from the way, at Alina in order to lose her, it was something made of glass, something like a vase.

He watched with horror filled eyes as Alina avoided it by putting her arm up in front of her face. The vase-like thing shattered into pieces.

A look of hurt came over two faces, one immediately overcame it and ran. But the other was still horrified at what he had just seen. His angel got hurt. and the man was responsible for it.

All the stupid fears disappeared just like that and he ran, he ran like there was no tomorrow. He knew he couldn't catch up with their speed though so he decided to take a shortcut through an alley.

And within a second he stood in front of where the man was coming towards him. The man stopped when he realised it was the same guy who was sitting with the cop.

He assumed Eryx must be a cop too. He looked back and Alina was standing there. He was trapped.
He stopped realising he had no other way left. He saw Eryx coming towards him and decided to get ready to fight too.

"Let's just get this over with, just come with m_" Alina cut herself out when she saw what Eryx just did.

He came in front of the guy who raised his hand to punch him in the face and dodged it and gave him a punch himself. But he didn't stop he kept punching him.

"How dare you!" He yelled punching the blond guy who was trying to fight but was failing miserably.

Eryx felt anger, pure anger at the moment. It was so overwhelming that he had lost all senses. It had been so long he had felt this emotion. All he wanted was the blood of the man who had hurt his angel, who in just two days had changed everything for him just by existing.

Alina immediately ran towards him to hold him back but he was too strong, "I will kill you." Eryx shouted at the man and again punched him right on his nose breaking it.
With great difficulty Alina managed to separate Eryx from the man,
"What's wrong with you calm down!" Alina told the thrashing man in his arms.

As soon as Eryx heard Alina's voice he stopped. He immediately turned in Alina's hold and held her by  shoulders. He held Alina's arm which she had used to avoid the hit earlier and saw that the pullover was wet with something.

It didn't take a genius to guess what it was. Eryx very slowly with utmost care folded Alina's pullover and gasped when he saw tiny pieces of glass stuck in the pale skin and she was bleeding.

The wounds weren't too much and it wasn't even bleeding that much, but only he knows how much it was hurting him to look at it.

"He hurt you." It was a mere broken whisper not meant for anyone to hear but Alina did.
She heard Eryx's whisper loud and clear. She didn't stop him when he very gently started pulling out all those pieces while trying to hold his tears. He was constantly blowing on it like Alina was some baby.

Alina was confused at first when she saw Eryx following her and then the rageful act he pulled before, but now she realised. It was because of her.

Alina couldn't have possibly caught his interest? Did she? No way? They just met today? Or did they?

She realised Eryx wasn't with her, he was constantly mumbling, 'He hurt you, I am so sorry little bunny.' While carefully tending to her small wounds.

It wasn't even hurting Alina. But the way Eryx was treating her like a doll made of glass made her heart beat a little faster and after so long she felt, warm inside her heart.

"Ryx! Eryx! Listen to me! Listen! Am fine i promise! It doesn't even hurt. Calm down." Alina said gaining Eryx's attention who looked up at her with glossy eyes but not a single tear left his eyes.

Alina didn't even realise the nickname she just gave to Eryx but Eryx sure did, but he was too gone into the care to tease her about it.

Alina was shocked at the amount of affection Eryx was showing to her.
"Am sorry little bunny." He said softly. He really did blame himself. He believed if he hadn't slowed down he could have avoided getting Alina hurt.

He was stupid to think he could ever back out now. How did he let even the thought of letting go of his bunny cross his mind for even a second. The feeling of seeing his angel getting hurt like that right in front of his eyes was too painful.

"It's not your fault, Ryx. I promise I am fine. It's my job. Please Calm down. Let me just cuff him okay?" He said softly knowing very well Eryx was not in his right mind.
But Eryx shook his head and extended his hands, "Give me. I'll do it." He said.

Alina looked at him with surprise, "You aren't the cop big guy, i am." She said shaking her head and walked towards the blond who was still lying on the floor completely beaten up. Half unconscious.

Eryx was still staring at Alina's arm where he had tied his handkerchief to stop the blood. It was physically hurting him to even look at it.

Alina turned the guy and cuffed his hands behind his back, she stood up along with the guy and looked at Eryx,
"Thanks a lot Eryx. I need to get him to the station now. I'll uh, see you around?" She asked hesitantly. She really wanted to see the guy again.

Eryx nodded at her and smiled slightly, "Just take care okay? I'll find you again. Don't worry about that. Not letting you go so easily. Also please get that treated okay?"

Alina nodded and blushed at his words but immediately turned around to not show it. But of course Eryx did hence the chuckle she heard from behind her.

With a weird feeling in her heart she started walking towards his car,
"The banana milk is still overdue, little bunny." She heard a yell from behind her.

"Yea yea." She yelled without looking back.
With that she walked up to her car to drive back to the station.

Eryx followed Alina until her car disappeared from his sight. He turned around to go back to his club again but got scared shitless when he saw Darren standing there with a not so pleased expression.

"What the hell did you do!"

"I can talk to hundreds of people in one day, but none of them compare to the smile you can give me in one minute.."
