Real Story

One rainy night in 2024, villagers reported hearing strange sounds coming from the old Mullappally Tharavat in Valiyamala village. Many testified that they could hear footsteps, voices, and sometimes lights coming from the locked rooms of the Tharavat, even when no one was living there. The villagers believed this to be the presence of the spirit of "Churuli Devi", a woman who had mysteriously died in the Tharavat centuries ago.

This news came to the attention of Dr. Ananthu. Ananthu, who works at a renowned research center in Bengaluru, heads the "Exo-Phenomeno Lab", an organization that scientifically analyzes paranormal phenomena. His team also includes a neuroscientist named Maya, who studies the fears and perceptions of the human mind. "This is a new opportunity," Ananthu told Maya. "Maybe, using quantum physics or neuroscience, we can find a scientific explanation for the phenomenon of ghosts."

Ananthu and Maya arrived at the ancestral home in Valiyamalai with their latest equipment. The equipment they had with them was

EMF (Electromagnetic Field) Detector: Helps detect unusual electromagnetic phenomena.

Quantum Entanglement Scanner: Measures energy patterns outside the everyday world.

EEG (Electroencephalogram) Headset: Records the responses of the human mind.

Infrared Camera: Detects temperature changes

Rajan, the guardian of the ancestral home, welcomed them. "Your science is not enough to measure the things here, my son," Rajan warned. "Churuli Devi is not an ordinary human. Her soul will not leave here." Ananthu laughed, "Let's explain everything scientifically, Rajetta. We will prove it."

Ananthu and Maya set up the equipment in the large hall in the center of the ancestral home. The old wooden furniture, the dim lighting, and the dusty pictures on the walls all created an eerie atmosphere. The EMF detector suddenly started recording signals. “This is a strong electromagnetic field,” Ananthu said. “But it’s not natural. It has to have a power source.”
At 1:47 a.m., a cold spot appeared on the infrared camera. The temperature suddenly dropped from 27°C to 12°C. Maya’s EEG headset made a terrifying noise, sending waves of fear (theta waves) into her mind. “I can sense something unusual happening in my mind,” Maya said, her voice trembling.
Suddenly, a footstep was heard from upstairs. Ananthu picked up the quantum entanglement scanner. “There’s an unusual energy signal in this,” he said. "It's similar to a quantum fluctuation, but... it follows a pattern, a conscious pattern!" They went upstairs. In the room, on an old table, they saw candles burning themselves in a blue flame. Maya's EEG headset gave off signals frantically. "This is not a signal from a human mind," Maya said, "This is... something else!"

The next day, Ananthu analyzed his data. The pattern recorded by the quantum entanglement scanner was similar to the neural signals of a human, but it was not associated with a body. “What we are seeing here is a quantum-consciousness signal,” Ananthu explained. “It is possible that human consciousness, even after death, exists as an energy pattern. Through quantum entanglement, it interacts with the physical world.”
Maya was skeptical. “Ananthu, even if we accept your hypothesis, why does it only appear in this family? What is this ‘Churuli Devi’?”

With Rajan’s help, they examined the family’s old records. In 1870, a young woman named Churuli, the wife of a chieftain in the family, had died under mysterious circumstances. Although her family said her death was a suicide, the villagers believed she had been poisoned.

Ananthu and Maya decided to conduct an experiment. They used a quantum disruptor to "awaken" the energy in the mansion. The moment the device was turned on, the entire mansion shook. The windows opened and closed by themselves, the candles went out, and a woman's thin cry echoed in the hall.
On the infrared camera, a faint figure appeared—a young woman, wearing a white turban, her face indistinct. "Curly..." Maya whispered. The EMF detector gave off signals frantically. Ananthu raised the quantum scanner, "You... exist here, don't you? What do you want?"
Suddenly, Maya's EEG headset sounded and immediately went offline. She screamed, "Ananthu, something... is going on in my mind!" Her eyes turned white, her voice changed, "Your science will never understand my pain..." she screamed. Although Ananthu was terrified, the quantum disruptor turned off. The room went quiet. Maya fell down exhausted. "She... spoke to my mind," Maya said, "She wants justice. The people who killed her still live in this village."

Ananthu analyzed his data. The quantum entanglement scanner recorded evidence of a non-local consciousness, a form of human consciousness that exists as energy, without a physical body. “This is the first scientific proof,” Ananthu wrote in a published paper. “Ghosts are an energy-consciousness model, interacting with the physical world according to the laws of quantum physics.”

But when they returned to the ancestral home, they found a shocking sight. Rajan, the caretaker, was found hanging, a look of fear on his face. His note read: “Churuli Devi will not leave me. I am from the family of those who killed her.”

Ananthu’s paper became a hot topic in the scientific community. But in Valiyamalai, the story of Churuli Devi is still told with fear by locals. “Science does not explain everything,” said Maya. “Sometimes, fear is the evidence for it all.”
