The author of this story teaches an important moral lesson through the tale of Tina and Priya. Using imaginative elements like magical doors and a fairy, the story highlights the consequences of arrogance and the rewards of kindness. By showing how Tina learns from her mistakes and Priya chooses forgiveness, the author emphasizes the value of compassion, humility, and treating everyone with respect.
A long time ago, there was a girl named Tina. She belonged to a very rich family and was quite proud of her wealth. One day, while she was walking down the road, she saw a poor girl. The girl looked extremely weak and hungry. Her clothes were torn, and it seemed like she hadn’t eaten for days.
Tina stopped and asked, “What is your name?”
The girl replied softly, “My name is Priya.”
Tina had always been a rude and arrogant girl. She used to discriminate against poor people and spoke to them harshly. Looking at Priya, she said, “What do you want from me?”
Priya replied politely, “I’m very hungry. Could you please give me some food?”
Instead of helping her, Tina slapped her and said, “Why should I help you? You are dirty and poor. I will never help someone like you!” Saying this, she walked away, laughing.
A few months later, fate brought them together again. Suddenly, the wind began to blow fiercely, and the sky turned dark. Out of nowhere, a fairy appeared in front of them. She said, “Two magical doors will appear before you. Each of you must choose one.”
Soon, two glowing doors appeared.
The first door said, “If you enter me, you will get lots of money, gold, and a big luxurious house.”
The second door said, “If you enter me, you will get food, clothes, and the chance to help the poor.”
Tina quickly chose the first door, while Priya chose the second. They both stepped into their chosen doors.
As Tina entered the first door, she found herself surrounded by burning lava. A witch appeared and said, “You are being punished for treating the poor so badly. You must suffer for your cruel behavior.” The witch laughed wickedly as Tina began to cry.
On the other hand, Priya found a beautiful world inside her door. Flowers were blooming, birds were flying, butterflies were singing, and there was delicious food and clean clothes all around. Priya felt peaceful and happy.
Meanwhile, the witch told Tina, “You can only leave this place if you sincerely apologize to Priya and promise never to behave badly again.”
Back in the peaceful world, a fairy came to Priya and said, “Tina is suffering because of how she treated you. Do you want to help her or leave her to suffer?”
Priya kindly said, “I want to help her.”
Tina was brought to Priya’s world. She fell at Priya’s feet and cried, “I’m so sorry, Priya. I was cruel to you. Please forgive me or I will be trapped forever!”
Priya smiled and said, “I forgive you.”
Moral of the story: Never laugh at or mistreat anyone. As you sow, so shall you reap.
