One Day Before the Engagement – Rahul’s American Friends Arrive
The excitement in the Khanna household was at its peak. The grand engagement was just a day away, and preparations were in full swing. Amidst the buzz of decorators setting up the house and caterers finalizing the menu, Rahul was eagerly waiting for his friends to arrive from America.
Their flight landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 6:30 PM. As they stepped off the plane, they stretched and looked around, taking in the bustling energy of India.
At the Airport
Ravi (grinning): "Man, it feels good to be back in India. The vibe here is just different!" ✈️🇮🇳
Emily (adjusting her sunglasses): "It’s my first time here, and wow, it’s so warm! I should have worn something lighter." 😅☀️
Daniel (laughing): "Welcome to India, Emily! You better get used to the heat. But man, I can’t wait to see Rahul!" 😆
Sam (stretching his arms): "And taste some real Indian food! I hope Rahul’s family has prepared something spicy for us." 🌶️😋
Along with them was John, Sam's sister's son,a young man of Aarushi's age. He was tall, fair, and undeniably handsome ,with sharp features and a confident aura.. His blue eyes scanned the surroundings with curiosity, taking in his first glimpse of India.
John (casually adjusting his jacket): "So, this is India, huh? Looks more lively than I imagined." 🤔
Rahul had already arranged for a luxury car to pick them up. His personal driver, Ramesh, stood outside the airport holding a placard that read:
“Khanna Guests – Welcome to India”
Ramesh (politely): "Welcome, sir and ma’am. Rahul sir has sent me to pick you up. The car is ready." 🚗
The five of them loaded their luggage into the sleek black Mercedes and hopped in. As they drove through the lively streets of Delhi, they took in the sights—vibrant street markets, honking rickshaws, and grand buildings.
Emily (amazed): "This city is so alive! It’s nothing like back home in New York." 🏙️
Ravi (smirking): "Told you, India has a charm of its own!"
John, who had been silent so far, finally spoke.
John (looking out of the window): "I like it. It’s different, but… interesting."
His voice was deep, and his American accent made Aarushi’s name sound foreign yet intriguing.

At the Khanna Mansion 🏡✨
As the cars rolled into the grand driveway of the Khanna mansion, the guests couldn’t help but admire the grandeur.
Right in the center of the entrance stood a magnificent fountain ⛲, its water cascading beautifully under the golden evening lights. The sprawling garden was decorated with fairy lights, making the entire place look magical.
Emily (eyes widening): "Damn, Rahul’s house looks like something out of a royal movie." 🤩
Ravi (laughing): "Bro, we knew he was rich, but this? This is next-level." 😂
John (smirking): "This place is insane. And people actually live here?" 😳
As they stepped out of the car, Aarushi and Amrita came out to welcome them. Aarushi wore a simple yet elegant yellow Anarkali suit, her hair falling in soft waves.
Aarushi (smiling warmly): "Welcome, everyone! You must be so tired after the long flight." 😊
As John’s gaze met Aarushi’s, there was a flicker of something—curiosity, intrigue… or maybe just a fleeting moment of connection. Aarushi gave him a polite smile before turning back to Emily and the others.
Amrita (warmly): "It’s so good to see you all again. Come inside, make yourselves comfortable!"
As they entered, the interiors of the house left the guests speechless. A massive chandelier hung in the center, the marble flooring gleamed, and the subtle fragrance of fresh flowers filled the air.
Sam (whistling): "Rahul, you never fail to impress, do you?" 🤯
Rahul (walking down the staircase in a casual white kurta): "Of course not! Welcome home, guys!" 😄
Everyone greeted Rahul with excitement, hugging and laughing.
Daniel (teasing): "So, the groom-to-be is finally settling down, huh? Never thought I’d see the day!" 😏
Rahul (smirking): "Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. But you’ll see, Indian weddings are something else!" 😆
Emily: "We’re just glad we made it in time for all the pre-wedding madness!" 😍
---
As everyone settled in, Aarushi noticed John still looking around, soaking in the place.
Aarushi (curious): "First time in India?"
John (nodding): "Yeah, and it’s nothing like I expected. It’s… grander."
Aarushi (laughing): "Well, welcome to the Khanna mansion! You’ll see a lot more of this ‘grandness’ in the next few days." 😆
John (raising an eyebrow): "Sounds like a challenge."
Aarushi (grinning): "Maybe it is." 😉
Something about the way she said it made John smirk. This trip was about to be more interesting than he thought.

As everyone gathered around the dining table, the staff served a delicious spread of traditional Indian dishes—butter chicken, dal makhani, garlic naan, paneer tikka, and biryani. The Americans looked both excited and slightly intimidated.
Emily (sniffing the food): "This smells divine! But is it spicy?" 🌶️😬
Ravi (laughing): "You’re in India. Of course, it’s spicy!" 😆
John (taking a bite): "Woah. This is… amazing!" 😍
Aarushi, watching him eat, smirked.
Aarushi: "Do you even know how to eat with your hands?" 😏
John (challenged): "Try me."
Aarushi grinned as she showed him how to eat naan with dal, watching as he struggled a little before getting the hang of it.
Sam (teasing Rahul): "So, Rahul, when do we get to meet the lady of the hour?"
Rahul (smiling): "Tomorrow, at the engagement. But don’t worry, you guys will love her." 😍
Emily: "We better, or else you’re in trouble!" 😂
The night continued with laughter, teasing, and shared stories. The house was alive with joy, and the excitement for the engagement the next day filled the air.
But amidst all the chatter, John’s eyes would occasionally drift toward Aarushi, and every time they did, she seemed to notice.
Tomorrow was going to be a big day. 💍✨
