A girl called Ahana married and moved in with her husband and mother-in-law in India many years ago.
Ahana quickly discovered that she didn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Ahana was irritated by several of her mother-in-practices law's since their personalities were so unlike. Furthermore, she was continuously criticising Ahana.
Weeks slipped by, and days passed by. Ahana and her mother-in-law were always bickering and squabbling. But, to make matters worse, Ahana was required to kneel before her mother-in-law and fulfil her every whim, as per traditional Chinese practise. All of the rage and discontent in the family was causing the poor spouse a lot of grief.
Finally, Ahana had had enough of her mother-in-harsh law's temper and despotism, and she resolved to take action.
Mr. Madhav, a personal friend of her father's, sold herbs, so Ahana went to see him. She explained the scenario to him and requested if he could give her some poison so she could finally solve the problem. Mr. Madhav pondered for a moment before saying, "Ahana, I will assist you in solving your difficulty, but you must listen to me and follow my instructions."
"Yes, Mr. Madhav," Ahana replied, "I will do everything you instruct me to do." Mr. Madhav walked into the back room and returned with a packet of herbs in a few minutes.
"You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law," he advised Ahana, "since it would make people suspect." As a result, I've given you a number of medicines that will gradually poison her body. Prepare a nice dish every other day and include a few of these herbs in her plate. Now, you must be extremely cautious to behave quite pleasant towards her in order to ensure that no one suspects you when she dies. Don't dispute with her; instead, follow her orders and treat her like a queen."
Ahana was overjoyed. She thanked Mr. Madhav and dashed home to begin her murder plot on her mother-in-law.
Weeks passed, months passed, and Ahana continued to offer her mother-in-law the carefully prepared cuisine every other day. She remembered Mr. Madhav's advice about avoiding suspicion, so she kept her cool, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her as if she were her own mother. After six months, everything in the house had changed.
Ahana had mastered managing her anger to the point that she nearly never became angry or agitated. She hadn't had a fight with her mother-in-law in six months, and she suddenly appeared friendlier and easier to get along with.
The mother-in-attitude law's toward Ahana shifted, and she began to care for her as if she were her own child.
She continued telling her friends and family how wonderful Ahana was as a daughter-in-law.
Ahana and her mother-in-law now treated each other as if they were a genuine mother and daughter.
Ahana's husband was overjoyed to witness what was going on.
Ahana returned to Mr.Madhav and requested his assistance once more. "Mr. Madhav, please help me stop the poison from killing my mother-in-law!" she begged. She's transformed into such a lovely woman, and I adore her as if she were my own mother. I don't want her to perish as a result of the poison I administered."
Mr. Madhav bowed his head and smiled. "There's no need to be concerned, Ahna. You never received any poison from me. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to help her feel better. The only poison was in your thinking and attitude toward her, but it has all been washed away by your love for her."
-The End-
