Deeper and Broader Facets of Almighty

Previous, still valid concepts:

Glimpses of Gods in Hinduism

There is ‘light’ in every being, that shines

the primordial fluid was energized by solar rays and energy – light

and the biological evolution (creation!) started, according to a thought

this ‘light’, the prakash-tej is the consciousness that is called Rama.

Every living cell has to have energy and oxygen

and the energy can be created by destruction of mass

‘with the speed of light’!

- energy being equal to mass times speed of light times speed of light

- the energy & oxygen together enliven the cells

energize them, brighten them and induce liveliness in them

the basic ingredients of the living beings, the cells shine

that one light always shines in our hearts

that consciousness is called Rama.

That Krishna as depicted as blue coloured God

that is what is knowledge represented as blue colour

the representative of infinite knowledge

the open sky is blue colour - the vastness, the space

which is through and through, the endless space.

The Lord Shiva, the innocent (!), the lover

yet the symbol of destruction!

creator of new things by destruction, the great Cosmic dancer.

Vishnu, the God - cool and calm, full of ornaments

the maintainer of the world, the supporter of the world!

The Kali, the fear–inspiring!

the one with open mouth and displaying her tongue

with a sword in one hand, a (cut-out) head in the other hand

the blood dripping from the head of a devil!

the necklace of the skulls around her neck!

if you can tolerate her, then you do not have fear

all problems start with our minds and bad thoughts in our heads

the misunderstandings - the head symbolizing the problems

the cut-out head representing the removal of the ego, the problems.

Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, cool, calm, serene, and peaceful

the knowledge inducing these tendencies and virtues in us

either worldly or spiritual knowledge, both very useful

in our daily lives, the latter knowledge propelling us to our redemption.

The Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth

- the need of everybody on this planet for food,

clothing and shelter for the poor and even for the richest

the natural and logical companion of Lord Vishnu

the sustain-or of the world.

God-Lord (Bhagavan)

God, if He/She/It exists, then it is the concept of sum total of earth,

the Cosmos and more…

- the solidity, water, air, fire, sky, space and vacuum too!

He/she has to be resilient like the Earth – the solid

we dig it and it gives us gold, minerals, coal and crude oil and water

and it is still resilient and solid.

She/he should be like fire that can burn our ignorance

it is bright and shining and red hot

it can burn our follies and brighten us up.

He/she is like air, the minute and soft and un-catch-able

it signifies the sensation of touch, the feel and is life giver,

the worldly happiness is felt by touch

the air - only the infinitesimally small at the microscopic level

something like it can go through your heart and soul

the one who can go deep in your mind and touch you.

She/he is like water, the flowing, soft and naturally cool

the very basic need, and the life giver to entire humanity/living beings.

He/she is like space, the vastness and infinite

sustaining and encompassing everything in the Nature

the Cosmos, the Universe whatever you may call it.

That could be the God made of

the basic five elements with the qualities of

Earth/the solidity, the water, the fire, the air and the space

the vacuous mind devoid of worldly desires and wrong doings

can beacon the peace, that is also like being in the state of GOL

this God-concept, these virtues to be imbibed by us, the humans.

The Transition:

HE, SHE, IT - Almighty

There are thousand and thousand of gods

all over the world on this planet

yet many humans suffer a lot:

hunger, torture, oppression and diseases.

The dwellings, houses, shops and huge buildings fall

due to tsunamis, floods, and earthquakes

the families get broken up, the members get separated

end up in orphanage or begging in streets.

When this happens we call it nature’s fury

we say ‘gods of the heavens’ are angry on

us or on some of us,

the us, the ‘we’ who are bad and sinners.

‘God’ is to be kind, pious-forgiving small mistakes of the humans

he/she is presumed magnanimous to the mankind, humankind

I still wonder, why the same ‘God’ is silent

when the terror strikes the innocent people

and they go through innumerable agonies.

Some say, she/he has created the entire

Universe and the humans

and some say all other things are created

by her/him for the humans.

Why did he create at all this Universe and things in it?

Did he not have any other past time than

to create the ‘hell’ of the problems

for the humans and the world?

Who created him/her in the first place?

to create even a tiny pin requires

a lot of planning, machinery and money.

From where did he get all these materials to create the world?

which gave, in turn, everything only after it was created

the chicken and egg problem again!

A more plausible and humble thought is:

‘God’, as a concept is invented by the humans,

out of their wonderment of their anxiety of uncertainties

sufferings, and agonies; for sense of security.

HE, SHE or IT has been, the manifestation of the human mind

in his own state of bewilderment, pain

and in the process of explaining

everything what he saw around him.

The man then created places of worships

huge monuments, temples and the likes

to put idols/holy books for others

to worship thus created ‘Gods’.

Man can create ‘God’ , oh! that great ‘God’

can then ‘God’ create a crooked man?

why did the ’God’ create such

a crooked or a cruel man on this planet?

that such bad men create hell on this planet: loot, cheat

oppress, suppress, kill other innocent people

for their own selfish interests to fulfil their own petty desires

- this game of creation is complicated

- and getting into perennial debates.

As the Vedas had expressed the doubts about the creation

(and perhaps about God):

“who really knows, who will proclaim, it here

and when was it produced?

since when is this creation, the Gods might have come

afterwards only, with the creation of this Universe.

who then really knows whence it has come and arisen?

may be this creation formed itself or perhaps it did not

one who looks onto it from some highest heaven perhaps

he only knows, or even he himself does not know that”.

Whether the ‘God’ exists or not

whether we believe in him/her or not

whether we believe in his/her existence or not

WE DO EXIST, created by him or otherwise

we are not for sure which way

but for sure we can see and feel that we do exist.

In this short span of our lives on this planet

what perhaps best we can feel and experience

is the Godhood-of-Love (GOL)

and spread this message to the entire humanity.

Shiva’s cosmic dance – for Hindus, an interpretation-deeper concept

I am Shiva – borne out of Hindu mythology

yet not created or really borne

I existed then, now and forever will I exist, not created by anyone

yet presumed to be the creator of the universe - the cosmos.

I reside in your mind - am your mind itself, am your thoughts too

I reside in your body - still I have no boundaries.

I dance in your mind as your thoughts

make you dance to the tunes of the pulsating life

that I have ‘created’ or evolved, for me to live forever and ever.

You think you are living all the odds, carry the burden for entire life

not realizing they are my musings and doings

I dance everywhere and every time, creating the waves of energy

that give you a meaning to your life

and you think you are defining your life and its purpose.

My dance creates whirls and vibrations

more and more I dance, it creates more and more lives

more and more rhythm in the cosmos it creates

everywhere and every time I pervade.

I am the ruffle of leaves in the trees

‘am eruptions of volcanoes, tornadoes

‘am flowing waters in rivers, and ‘am thunderstorms and lightening.

I am ‘silence’ too in your mind, ‘am intellect in your judgment

my dancing steps are throbs of your heart

creating feeling of love in you, for you to transcendent to me.

I am sound in the strings – ‘am your magical voice

‘am roar of a lion, and even far cry of a dying soul

and ‘am ‘silence’ and vacuum thereafter.

I am fragrance in flowers, ‘am benign movement of a caterpillar

‘am the rainbow in the sky and colours of the butterflies

I am vast oceans, blue waters and the power of fang of a snake.

I create and destroy as well, that is my nature

to always be innovative and perpetuating

for infinite time, in infinite space, for a constant presence and eternity.

That is my cosmic dance giving nectar of life to everyone

to every living creature and organism

‘am eternity-principle in all the objects of the universe

I am the Shiva, your cosmic dancer.

Universal thought:

Where and what is God, if at all he is there - a deeper concept

Perhaps, (Here, S/he, and He are used synonymously)

S/he is in our breath, in our mind and thoughts, in our actions

Is the tenderness of leaves, is the colours of flowers and butterflies

He/she is in the instincts of animals.

He is the intrinsic intellect in us, in the force of our emotions

in the play of a child

Is the texture of leaves, is colourful panorama of birds

in the spontaneity of thunderstorms.

He is the wisdom in us, in the force of our affections

in the love of the mother.

Is the pattern of the seasons

is colourful mosaic of sea animals

in the symmetry of objects.

He is the innocence of a child, in the lullaby of the mother

in the purity of the soul.

Is the space-time mystery, is colourful spectrum of the rainbow

in the regularity of the planetary motions.

He is the goodness in humans, in the force of love

S/he is implicitly/intrinsically in creative, evolving and adaptive Nature.

Eternities – a broader thought

The eternity, perhaps, has to be only one but

it could be defined, spelt out in many forms:

-the unitary absolute being

-the truth, the absolute truth

-the parmatma, the Bhrahman

-the lord of the lords, the reality

-the universal principle, the only creator of this Universe

-the supreme reality, the supreme being

-the Sanatan (eternal) dharma

-the Sanatan principle, so on…and so on…

The eternities could be more than one or only one,

and might have been defined already at various times

and places in the past, eons earlier

but, it is perhaps a ripe time to recollect

all those thoughts, revisit them, and refine them.

It would be prudent to consider one total intellect

that comprises the intellects and intelligences

of all the beings on this planet

and why not of all the beings in the entire cosmos

explored and yet unexplored ones

the intellect thus reaching to infinity in quantum and quality

– the intellect eternity.

It could be sum total, the absolute total

aggregation of all the affections, care and love

showered by our parents, fore-fathers,

well-wishers, and brethren

for the millions of years in the past and present

may be in the future for all the beings in this Universe

– the pure love eternity.

It could be the sum total of nonviolence, the pure ahimsa

aggregation of no-hurt: hurt by mind, by thought

by physical means, by emotions, by intellectual thought

by any means what-so-ever

by ignorance or by intention

– a non violence principle eternity.

It could be total peace, the absolute peace

aggregation of peace, the calmness

the serenity from everywhere and from everybody

in all occasions, in all circumstances for everybody

in the entire Universe and beyond

- the everlasting peace eternity.

It could be creative unity: sum total of living in togetherness

unified aggregation of people from all walks of life

from anywhere, from everywhere

without divisions, without walls, mental walls for everybody

for all the beings in the Universe, and beyond

–the creative unity eternity.

It could be the sum total, absolute total aggregation of

- the intellect eternity

- the pure love eternity

- the nonviolence principle eternity

- the everlasting peace eternity

- the creative unity eternity

- and even the cosmic rhythmic, the dynamic eternity

the ‘creative’ eternity

- and why not (?) the ‘evolutionary’ eternity

all that leading to the supreme cosmic existence eternity

- the eternity of all the eternities, the ultimate new kind of spiritual eternity.

***An end…***with a new beginning…***
