Women Empowerment- Happening or Hallucination?

The empowerment of women, Happening or Hallucination:-

Travelling the world and becoming rich is one of the most common dreams that we have today.

There are many people who have already lived their dreams. Talking of 21st century, we the humans talk much about equality, but where can we find real equality.

There was a time when the society was referred to be a male dominant society just because of the illusion that males are stronger and mindful and it is the responsibility of women to run the house. Is it the only responsibility of a woman.

From time to time, people with nice brains have been appreciated. There have been times when females have risen up to prove their worth. For an example, in Hinduism, it is believed that the universe has originated from the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. But from where did this trinity come? The answer to this question lies in the scriptures. The answer is from the eternal and infinite source of energy called Adishakti.

In Srimad Devi Bhagwat Purana's 1st book and 4th chapter. Devi addressed Trimurti as follows:

"I am Adi Parashakti, goddess Bhuvaneshvari. I am the owner of this universe. I am the Absolute Reality. I am dynamic in feminine form and static in masculine form. You have appeared to govern the universe through my energy. You are the masculine form of Absolute Reality, while I am the feminine form of that Reality. I am beyond form, beyond everything, and all the powers of God are contained within me. You must know that I am the Eternal limitless energy.

She then said: Brahma! You will be generator of the universe; the Goddess Sharada (saraswati) is your consort, my form by which I will be recognized as the goddess of wisdom and the primeval sound. Lord Brahma, this goddess will be with you when you create the universe.

This one example simply proves one point that undoubtedly, the universe has originated from a lady. Now looking around ourselves, the main point is we love our mothers because they gave us birth then what is the reason for which we stand quietly when a woman is abused in our country or in the world where we reside? Is it because she has no relation with us. Or is it because we have more important work to do than saving humanity?

This article describes the following three things:-

1. Condition of Females in the Past

2. Rise of females from local to global

3. Conclusion

1.Condition of females in the past:-

There are two faces to describe the condition of women in the past.

But as a famous quote says:-

“ Always do the tough work first ”

I would like to start with the negative face.

Women were believed to be a burden on the family. It was a tradition that when a marriage was organized the family of the girl had to give dowry to the family of the boy. There were customs like dudhpeeti, female infanticide, etc which clearly depict the mindset of some portion of the society

It is not that all the bad things happened in the past. Great female leaders like Rani Lakshmibai were also present to show the ability and capacity of women in this world. When India was struggling for independence, many female freedom fighters did remarkable work for the country. For example, Begum Hazrat Mahal also known as Begum of Awadh, she was one of the noteworthy freedom fighters of the National Uprising of 1857. When the movement began, she was one of the first freedom fighters who urged the rural region to rise up against the British oppression and rebel against the British East India Company. She was the first wife of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah and in his absence she took the charge of the entire region of Awadh and got freedom from the hands of the British.

Similarly many other women like Sarojini Naidu, Madam Bhikaji Cama, gave notable contribution in making India independent.

2.Rise of females from local to global:-

Sunita Williams a girl who dreamt about space, fulfilled her dreams by becoming an astronaut. Parisa Tabriz, who is famous as ‘’ Google’s Security Princess “ runs an important section of Google chrome.

The people who earn something, do something. They and many more like them did many things. They have also faced the barriers like other people face. But what makes them different. The reason behind this uncommon success is the will to go on.

It is said that decide a thing and you are half way there. It is observed generally that people do start many things with excitement, but then comes boredom. It is not because of the monotonousness of the work, but due to decreasing interest in that particular field.

Given below are some examples of how some common girls grew to become important and successful:-

3.Conclusion:-

Considering the current scenario, women are standing head to head with men. They are influencing in almost every field of work. They have showcased their hardwork as well as leadership skills throughout the globe.

Nowadays, women have proved their ability to do startups. In the field of education also, they have proved their ability to excel in the field.

But the main concern today is not what they have proved but what is left.

There is a saying in English that:-

“The glass of water can be half full or half empty”

Looking at more constructive side, despite of being able to prove many things, where do they stand in the mindsets of the public. If the answer comes that they are equal, then what is the reason that in paying guest systems, they face so much difficulties to stay.

A survey says that majority of women face problems when it comes to living alone or in a different region.

The main reason lies in our minds. We talk of equality but still doubt their potential. The potential to prove themselves equal to men.

The mind is the most powerful weapon ever created. Psychology says that a woman is more sensitive than man. But at the same time, it also says that women have more courage than men. So looking at these contradictory surveys, we can conclude that they are the way we treat them.

According to me this article can be concluded in the following manner:-

The statements of a true woman:-

· You treat me well, I treat you well

· You respect me, I respect you

· I am able to prove myself in any conditions if I am given a genuine chance

· I am able to work on multiple fronts if you trust me

· I am sensitive but I also possess wisdom

· A girl only expects equality and respect. If given, she can win the world

There is a quote:-

“Girl, you are a Goddess”

If everyone feels proud when a girl wins a medal for the country then why is it that some parents refuse their daughter to play. If a girl can hold the world record for becoming one of the best astronauts in the world, then why they are deprived of higher studies.

Support girls and then see how they show you magic. Because the girl in our homes whom we see as a cute baby girl, also has the potential to single handedly rule the world by her will and determination.
