The story "Endless Voyage" by Pradipkumar Raol and Prakash Vaidya revolves around a large Hindu Brahmin family of eight members led by Mr. Chandrasekhar, a retired history teacher. As conditions in their village deteriorate, the family faces a difficult decision about leaving their ancestral home, which holds many cherished memories. While Mr. Chandrasekhar is emotionally attached to their home, his sons rationally conclude that survival in the village is becoming increasingly impossible. Ultimately, they decide to leave, taking essential items for survival, including food, water, and a small idol of Lord Krishna. As they depart, they join a larger group of about three hundred people fleeing the village, accompanied by a tractor carrying supplies and livestock. Despite their initial confidence and the ability to cover considerable distances daily, their situation worsens as food supplies dwindle and the weather turns unexpectedly harsh. Chandrasekhar and his family encounter numerous challenges, including theft and the loss of livestock, as they struggle to survive on their journey.
