Michael Andy D'souza, known as "MAD," is a smart and average boy studying engineering in Ohio. During a cousin's wedding, he falls in love with a girl named Nicky, but is unable to speak to her. Despite believing that love was just a movie concept, he finds himself unable to forget her, thinking about her daily for two years. Although he struggles academically, he manages to get a job but remains haunted by memories of Nicky, who lives in Los Angeles. When a friend offers him a chance to go to Los Angeles, he asks for leave but ultimately decides to quit his job to pursue his feelings for her.
