The story follows the entrepreneurial journey of Phanindra and his co-founders Charan and Sudhakar, who established redBus in 2005. Phanindra, a Sr. Design Engineer with a background in electronics, faced challenges booking a bus ticket for Diwali due to limited information and availability. Recognizing the communication gap between travel agents and bus operators, he envisioned a solution using the internet to create a platform where customers could easily access information and book tickets. After discussing his idea with his classmates and co-founders, they pooled their savings and began developing the redBus portal. They faced numerous rejections while trying to secure partnerships with travel agents but persevered. On August 18, 2006, they finally secured their first five bus seats from a travel agent. Despite initial setbacks, they continued to promote their service by reaching out to companies to distribute redBus cards to employees. This marked the beginning of redBus's significant impact on the bus travel industry. redBus.in Plus 'Your Bus by c P Hariharan in English Motivational Stories 4 728 Downloads 2.9k Views Writen by c P Hariharan Category Motivational Stories Read Full Story Download on Mobile Description Start-up Success Story It is human tendency to find solutions as and when the problems crop up, a sort of freewheeling opportunism rather than foreseeing problems and prefixing solutions.
