Babes bathe under the showers

Babes bathe under the showers
As in rains do the flowers

Hi Hi, Ho Ho, babes enjoy
Mother claps in sheer joy

But lo, the showers get dry
The babes in chores cry

‘Oh! Mother come here at once
Open the showers at least once.’

When the soul flies

When the soul flies and body falls
And all our acts are fully done
Stay not sins, nor do our faults
For all ends well when wisely done

What was pride and what was fame
All adulterated with needs of time
For no soul stays to attain a name
And no death has any lingering time

All that parishes do stay in urn
With our name, fame turned to dust
The untuned time too fails to return
On destiny tell me who can trust

Let there be light

O God from birth till death
Let there be good light
For I want my path
All shining and bright

Burn not thousand suns
Nor a thousand moons
But light a candle for me
Carrying all worthy boons

With these celestial boons
Sparkling in my life
Let me march with delight
Unto my death all my life

Darken not a single thought
As if moon shut from night
Put not my soul, O God
In lonely cage of fright

For thoughts that darkness
Sprouts in any mind
Darkens the darkness more
For the entire mankind

Dark are the graves of men
With hopes all gone in dust
Darkened by the acts of dark
Bones too are laid to rust

Yet we place an earthen lamp
On the grave’s opaque cover
For the bodies without soul
Those are blind for ever

What use is of the light?
That we mortal create
What charm in lying low
In the coffin we rivet. 00000

My prayer

I lived as God wished me to be
So whatever I am, let me be

Change not my simple name
Steal not my well-earned fame
I fought, made no excuses lame
And won many a strenuous game

Remodel not my fate, let it be
As noble as my deeds
Carve no new faith for me
For mine is of golden seeds
My prayer is simple, dear to me
Not in vain it ever pleads

So, whatever I am, let me be
Tarnish not my virtuous deeds

Let my song serve my heart
With pious rhymes of every heart
Let all play their well-set part
Breathing a prayer with all their heart

Let all live as God wished them to be
And whatever they are, let them be. 00000

Love to live

Love to live and dare to die
And care not for wanton sigh

Forget frustrations and all fear
Worries are nothing if one can bear

Life is healthful till you feel so
So forget illness, enjoy to go

With clear conscience, long to live
With faith in God, in Him believe

For poor is he who has no virtue
Has no word that brings forth no true

Forget to thunder, loose no temper
For cowards have all this fever

Love to live, live forever to love
Love not hatred, hate not who love

Love to live and dare to live
As God wish us all to live.

My Mother

When I need a helping hand
And just cannot understand
One image springs in my mind
That is ever so sweet and kind
And that is my mother.

When I am sad and alone
And walk my path all alone
One person runs to help me soon
To take me out of my gloom
And that is my mother.

When nothing is sweet and fair
And mind is full of despair
I find love that flows forever
Which I know takes all my care
And that is my mother.

When I want to remember the God
And try hard to clean my thought
I see one full of godliness
With virtues that are fathomless
And that is my mother. 00000

My heart is full of love

My heart is full of love
For the dearest one, I love
In all the world, my dear
In all my dreams so clear
Bound by golden cord
How firmly do we trod
On the precious path of love
With our hearts full of love…

To keep my love so bright
I get your magic light
That kindles in your heart
And plays its lovely part
To enter the realm of love
With our hearts full of love….

When bird twitters ‘n sings
And puffs air in its wings
I see its wonderous flight
And think of greater height
That we have reached in love
With thrilling wings of love….

With our hearts full of love
With dreams full of love…. 00000
