In the Oval Office on Monday, Donald Trump said to reporters as he announced the move, “We have tremendous potential.” The fund would help to partner with TikTok and focus on transforming America’s economic landscape. Sovereign wealth funds offer multiple benefits to the US economy. By reducing economic volatility and providing a long-term investment mechanism, it can help in stabilising economic fluctuations, and it could help the government to do investment strategically across various sectors like infrastructure, healthcare, and technology.
With the help of this approach, it can increase foreign direct investment, economic growth, and jobs. The US could increase its economic resilience along with entrepreneurship. The domestic market would get stabilised, reduce dependency on volatile revenue streams, and for future economic challenges, a financial buffer could be created, reducing dependency on traditional revenue.
