રાતનો સમય હતો. ઇકબાલ પોતાના ટેબલ ઉપર બેસીને કામ કરી રહ્યો હતો. આજે ખૂબ જ મોડું થઈ ગયું હતું. ઇકબાલ વિચારતો હતો કે મારે કઈ કામ કરવાનું હતું શુ હતું? એને યાદ આવી રહ્યું ન હતું થોડીવાર પહેલા એને યાદ હતું પણ અત્યારે મગજમાંથી એ નીકળી ગયું હતું. એ વિચારતો હતો કે શું કામ કરવાનું હતું. એની બાજુમાં સાગર બેઠો હતો. ઇકબાલ સાગરને જોઈ રહ્યો હતો અને સાથે સાથ વિચારતો હતો કે શું કરવાનું હતું. ત્યાં જ સાગરની નજર ઇકબાલ ઉપર જાય છે. એને આમ કઈ વિચારતા જોઈને સાગર પૂછે છે, " સર, શુ વિચારી રહ્યા છો? કાંઈ કામ ખરું?
