In the early 20th century, two British scientists traveled to Detroit, where they stayed in an old house due to a lack of accommodation. One was bold and dismissive of ghosts, while the other was fearful and believed in them. One night, they heard a girl's crying, which led them to investigate a spooky neighboring house. The next day, they learned from the village head about a girl with magical powers who had been killed by a scientist in the 19th century. Her ghost now haunted the area, threatening any scientist who approached. The head recounted how a French scientist had previously tried to disprove the existence of ghosts but was killed by her spirit. To confront the ghost, the British scientists requested the body of the French scientist for research, believing it would help them understand how to defend themselves against the ghost's attacks.
