The story revolves around Hakimu Lukmaan, a renowned healer in Sindh, known for his exceptional diagnostic skills and successful treatments. A poor farmer named Rama, impressed by Lukmaan's abilities, approaches him to teach his eldest son the art of healing in hopes of improving their dire situation. Despite Rama's insistence, Lukmaan expresses doubts about the boy's potential and warns Rama about the dangers of the training. Nevertheless, Rama locks his son in a room overnight, believing Lukmaan will accept him as a disciple. The story takes a tragic turn as the boy suffers from the extreme cold during the night, without any means to keep warm. In the morning, Rama finds his son dead. Lukmaan, rather than showing sympathy, reminds Rama of the warning he had given about his son's lack of ability to learn the healing arts.
