રતનપુર ગામની સીમમાં એક ઉંચી ટેકરી હતી. આ ટેકરીની ટોચ પર એક જૂનું અને ખંડેર મંદિર હતું, જેના વિશે ગામલોકો ઘણી રહસ્યમય વાર્તાઓ કહેતા હતા. વીર નામનો એક નાનો છોકરો, જે હિંમતવાન અને જિજ્ઞાસુ હતો, તેને આ મંદિરમાં જવાની ખૂબ ઇચ્છા હતી. ગામલોકોએ તેને ચેતવણી આપી કે ત્યાં ખતરનાક પ્રાણીઓ અને જોખમો છે, પરંતુ વીરનો ઉત્સાહ ઓછો થયો નહીં. એક સવારે વીરે તેના મિત્ર કરણ સાથે ટેકરી પર ચઢવાનું શરૂ કર્યું. રસ્તો ખડકાળ અને મુશ્કેલ હતો. ગાઢ જંગલમાંથી પસાર થતી વખતે, તેણે ઘણા ભયાનક અવાજો સાંભળ્યા, પરંતુ તેની હિંમત અકબંધ રહી. જેમ જેમ તેઓ ઉપર ચઢતા ગયા તેમ તેમ વાતાવરણ
