In "Postmortem: Episode Two," Upen's abusive behavior toward his wife, Kusum, escalates as he begins a secret affair with his attractive colleague, Roma. Upen's attempts to rid himself of Kusum become increasingly violent, including burning her with cigarettes. Roma devises a deadly plan involving a modified car engine that can explode when overheated, aiming to make it look like an accident. Upen, under Roma's influence, prepares to execute this plan. On a trip with Kusum and their daughters, Upen ignores Kusum's pleas and keeps the engine running. As they drive home, he takes a secluded shortcut, fully intent on carrying out the plot, having ensured all doors are locked and that they are alone. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the fate of Kusum and their daughters uncertain.
