In anticipation of their 4th semester final exams, Amaya decided to rent a room to study, and she reached out to her friend Niyati for help. Niyati, concerned about Amaya’s safety due to recent crimes in their town, suggested that Amaya stay at her house instead. Amaya was thrilled by the offer, as it would provide a safer environment and the comfort of friendship. Niyati's parents welcomed Amaya warmly, treating her like family. The two friends studied late into the night and enjoyed outings to the local park for ice cream. However, one night, while returning from the ice cream stall, Amaya felt uneasy about walking through the park, which seemed darker than usual and devoid of the usual late-night park-goers. Despite her instincts telling her something was off, Niyati reassured her, attributing her feelings to exam stress. As they continued their walk, Amaya's apprehension lingered, setting a tense tone for what lay ahead.
