The narrator felt frightened by strange presences at night and would sleep with their grandmother for comfort. Two weeks later, the narrator wakes up to find their father lying next to them, but his appearance is distressingly abnormal—his body is transparent and distorted, with injuries from the accident visible. Terrified, the child tries to speak to him, but before they can, the father's face suddenly turns towards them, causing the child to scream in fear. Their grandmother reassures them that it was just a bad dream, dismissing the experience as a figment of their imagination.
