Information Technology (IT) has significantly transformed our lifestyles, allowing us to perform many tasks conveniently from home, such as paying bills and booking tickets, with just a click of a mouse. This technological advancement has minimized travel time and expenses, making the world feel like a small village where communication across the globe is instant and accessible. However, the reliance on IT has also created a divide, with those lacking computer skills being considered illiterate. In countries like India, where there is high unemployment, many jobs have been replaced by robots, leading to a reduction in manual labor. Traditional office practices have been replaced by streamlined, paperless operations, changing the way organizations function. Despite the benefits, there are challenges. Older generations often struggle with adapting to new technology, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by the learning curve. Bureaucratic inefficiencies persist in some organizations, delaying responses and services despite the capabilities of computers. Overall, while IT has brought about convenience and efficiency, it has also highlighted disparities in skills and adaptability among different age groups and sectors of society.
