In "The Clown’s Discovery," the narrator recounts moving into a lavish new home, purchased from a wealthy man named Dave Ferguson. The narrator is unsettled by Ferguson's appearance and a menacing note found at the house's gate warning potential buyers of danger. Despite being reassured by his father that the note might just be a prank, the narrator remains anxious. Upon entering the house, he finds the same note again, now with a joker's face added. He decides to keep it as a warning while exploring the house. Once upstairs, he discovers a room filled with music CDs and a karaoke set, which excites him despite the ominous circumstances.
