Known across the world as Dyker Lights, this extraordinary display captures the very soul of Christmas, drawing thousands of visitors who come to witness its festive brilliance. Streets glow with color, air fills with laughter, and every home seems to compete in a friendly spirit of joy and imagination.  The tradition began in the 1980s when local resident Lucy Spata, inspired by her family’s love for Christmas, decorated her home on 84th Street with colorful enthusiasm.
